GingerrrFox Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 He's big and strong, put himself about a lot more than Futacs despite obvious size difference and looked a lot stronger holding the ball up etc. He says it's because he had to be physical playing non-league against men whilst most his age were still playing academy football.
Asha Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 Cheers Jacob, you bastard He played quite well. Decent header for the goal but keeper hesitation seemed to play a role. It'll be interesting to see it again tonight. He was up against Harry Worley in County's defense and probably had the edge over him, although it was his strike partner O'Donovan who was definitely more of a problem. He went off about fifteen minutes from the end, and seemed to be limping a little bit as he went off. All in all, quite a promising debut and I think he can do well at this level.
Walshy5 Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 Should be given a chance at some point. Cant do any worse than futacs!
Adster Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 Should be given a chance at some point. Cant do any worse than futacs! Not gonna lie, I totally forgot we still had him.
Jimmy Posted 11 August 2013 Posted 11 August 2013 if he does well try and offload Futacs and have him as Wood's back up
Soar Fox Posted 11 August 2013 Posted 11 August 2013 How much wedge is he on? Just saw him pull into the car park in a brand new white Mercedes.
ealingfox Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Extended to November Leicester City youngster Jacob Blyth has extended his loan spell with Sky Bet League 2 side Northampton Town until November. The 21-year-old striker has impressed in his six-game spell with the Cobblers so far, scoring two goals – including one on his debut in a 3-1 home victory over newly-promoted Newport County. With a growing reputation as a powerful striker and a clinical finisher, Blyth has been a welcome addition to Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd’s attacking options as they look to climb the League 2 table, most recently featuring as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Scunthorpe United. Next up for the Cobblers at Sixfields are high-flying Exeter City on Saturday, when Boothroyd’s men will be hoping to kick start a season that has seen them win just once in eight games. Blyth appeared once for City during pre-season against Leamington – from whom he joined the Foxes in the summer of 2012. http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/100913-blyth-extends-cobblers-loan-1044844.aspx

TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Would of liked to seen him come back and work his way up from the bench now Waghorn is leaving.
GingerrrFox Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Would of liked to seen him come back and work his way up from the bench now Waghorn is leaving. If he carries on proving himself I imagine he will be 4th striker in the first team next season.
Strokes Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 If he carries on proving himself I imagine he will be 4th striker in the first team next season. You don't think we will be in the prem next season?
GingerrrFox Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 You don't think we will be in the prem next season? Personally I think we will just miss out again. We aren't ruthless enough against teams with less ability than us. Too many losses against near bottom of the table sides cost us last season and I don't see it changing but I'd be very glad if I'm proved wrong.

Leicesterpool Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Lend them Hopper for the month too I agree with this, young hopper doesn't quite look ready yet for us!
lgfualol Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Back with Northampton. Their FA cup game is on tv in 5 mins, Blyth starting up front.
LCFC FOX Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Free header missed in the first minute! Hope the lad does well
Leicesterpool Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 I thought he played quite well to be fair, yeah okay he's only playing Bishop Stortford but never the less his performance must be noted. I was impressed with his movement managed to hold the ball well at times plus his movement was quick.
