Konch - moving on....

Well if Schlupp and Bakayogo can fill his boots then he can leave IMO.

He's on a tidy wage and is probably joint top (with SSL) on the list of 'can go if needs be'.

Thumbs up from me

He doesn't have the pace to play in a variety of positions, his attacking prowess is limited to lofted passes often costs us possession & his lack of pace leaves us exposed on the flank

As he was under contract at Liverpool, you'd have to assume we're paying him a lot for the division too, which is a hell of a lot of money to have tied up in a rather limited fullback.

It's not all negative though, he's given his all for us which is more than many have done.

An experienced professional who gave his all - will be missed if he goes but on the reported wages he was on, he was a luxury we can't afford....

Happy with this.

Had a good first season with us, became a bit inconsistent in the next. Too slow nowadays in my opinion, and we have Schlupp and Bakayogo who can play left-back anyway.

Will be on high wages, so it's good to let him go, might free us up to get someone in, in a position we need.

First time you've posted and not called him "Hoofsky" ;)

I do agree though that he is getting slower and his ball retention is poor. He is a very solid defender though and was never poor for us but was limited. Wages really didn't help. If he was not a "big name" (and not just due to number of letters) he would have gotten more slack IMO

Agree, he'll get a clap from me when we play QPR

He's a good player for me and has been dependable and was useful experience in a young team. However, he's on big, big money and it makes sense to offload the wage if possible.

Leaves with no negative feelings as far as I'm concerned.

I think Schlupp can fill the role and has more attacking flair. Plus it will be another player who no doubt is on good money gone, doesn't have the legs anymore. He has done a good job when here though good luck to him.

Not great news for me. Will have to see how good the new guy is though.

always liked him for us and was massively underrated. If it wasn't for his wages I'd be gutted.

This may well free up some funds to pay the wages of a couple of new faces either on a free or as loaners. Perhaps this will see the second guy from Arsenal join us ?

Am I the only one who remembers how poor Schlupp was at left back last season?

If he is on that kind of wage though I think he has to go. Shame I liked Konch.

Massive loss in terms of experience and professionalism, however if we get around a mill + his 30k (reported) wages off the book, it will certainly help with FFP and may allow some to come in.

30k???surely not.

He was ok for us, perhaps a little more in his first season but he's on the decline massively now. Good move for all concerned, he gets a new bumper contract at QPR (who seem intent on financial ruin) which is closer to where he's from and we get rid of a high earner who wasn't massively important to the team.
