Nick Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 He's a beast but a red card waiting to happen. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UhLU3uhtm4w&feature=youtube_gdata_player&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DUhLU3uhtm4w%26feature%3Dyoutube_gdata_player On the plus side, unlike Whitbread most of those fouls were outside the penalty area............. Ric Flair Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 In all seriousness his experience could be invaluable, he definitely isn't just a squad filler. Pearson tends not to sign completely proven players unless they have the right attitude and can still offer something, such as Solano and Powell. If those two are anything to go by then we'll have a decent player to call upon. Can't wait to see him take bodies, i'm desperate for a cult hero. Hitesh Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 According to BBC, he's available against Blackpool away tonight.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24110804? Leicester City sign Poland defender Marcin Wasilewski Leicester City have completed the signing of Poland defender Marcin Wasilewski on a one-year contract, BBC Radio Leicester reports. The 33-year-old was a free agent, having left Anderlecht in the summer after more than four years with the Belgian club. Wasilewski mainly plays as a right-back but can also play at centre-half. _Fatboyslow_ Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 I cannt see what's the issue hear, you can never have to many defenders. He has had a better experience than most of our current crop. If he comes good then great if not only a small loss. Mind you I would not want to have to tell him to go!!!! I hate auto correct

Finnegan Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 I want him up front, what a man! No way. Midfield free role. 4 3 3, King going box to box, Knocky giving it the tekkers and Marci Marc strolling around the center circle taking names. HitchinFox Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 Fairly low risk signing - is it really a problem? We've just signed an international, experienced defender with 60 caps. On a free. For a year. What's the worst that can happen? You've done it now. Play off final, Wembley, 89th minute. Our penalty area. You watch.

chris_lcfc_85 Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 Im not calling the signing, clearly anyone that has 60 caps for Poland and played at the level he has, he must be decent. My only argement is paying another wage to sign a player in a position we dont need...... This will make more sense if Whibread or SSL or both are going on loan somehwere

Finnegan Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 It's a yes from me We're thinking people. It's a wonder we've not had a call from Nigel yet. At very least, Micky Adams.
lgfualol Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 I'd be a bit more confident playing 3-5-2 with this guy at the back, I like Miquel but we need the experience if we wanna challenge. It'd be a bit silly if Whitbread and/or SSL both don't go anywhere on loan.
Finnegan Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 Is nobody seriously picking up on the fact this chap is a natural FULL BACK. We only really have De Laet who suffered hugely with fatigue and inconsistency last year. Moore is obviously settling in to a CB role and, in my eyes, has never been a RB over a CB. Ashley Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 The polish lads I work with are very pleased by this signing, some of them go to watch Leicester. They said he will fit right in with us, loves a tackle! One described him as a '****ing animal'
Grey Fox Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 "Despite being a defensive player, Wasilewski often scores goals. During the 2008–09 season, he was Anderlecht's third most prolific goalscorer, tied with one other player at 8 goals." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcin_Wasilewski

The signing of Wesolo...Wesali...Wosela...Wasele...The Big Pole is a great move in my opinion. We now have backup for each position at the back. Didn't really have an alternative RB - especially if Moore plays in the centre. I like it. Squad number 666.
Buce Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 Great signing. Just the kind of player we need when we go to the likes of millwall and leeds away. Looks more like the kind of fan we need when we go to the likes of Millwall & Leeds away...
Lambert09 Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 That video is beyond a joke, he's not going to last half a game with those sort of challenges. How has he done so many in his career?!? And to think people moaned about Neil danns having bad discipline

Leicesterpool Posted 17 September 2013 Share Posted 17 September 2013 we could even play 3 at the back....... That's a good point. The formation might work now! What does the future hold for Whitbread and St Ledger? Whitbread simply isn't good enough to be honest, though i think St Ledger as still got something to offer the team. At the end of the day, the pair of them will be struggling! Also haven't we got Miquel aswell? we're not exactly short at the back are we?
