Hugo Sanchez Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 No one seems to rate him, yeah he scored a few goals but he's nothing special is normally the response. I think this lad is world class quality and one of the big reason I think arsenal will win the league this season. The last year he's just getting better and better. He's the best midfielder in the world on current form. Imagine if Bale and Ramsey where english ... We're actually have a chance next summer of winning it. A shame they're always be wasted playing for Wales though.
AKCJ Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Hold on there mate. He's been average for years, 5 games of very good form doesn't change that.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 I'd rather have Gordon Ramsey in my team.
Filbert_Ross Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Think his account has been hacked. Probably by Aaron.

MooseBreath Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 When Danny Drankwater played that sublime pass through to Vardy the other day, for a second there he was the best midfielder in the world on current form.
Captain... Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Big fan of Ramsey, he showed a lot of class until he had his leg broken, starting to look class again and to be able to do it consistently. I rate Ramsey a lot higher than Wilshire and whilst I'm not going to go as over the top as the OP, I think he will become one of the best British midfielders in a few years, more an indictment of the lack of quality coming through than him being truly world class.
ScouseFox Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Yeah he was better than Wilshere when they were both up and coming. Both had major injury problems (not sure about Wilshere's, mind) and it seemed to take 6 months for Ramsey to remember he could be a class footballer. Now he has I'm happy for the kid. Hope he carries on impressing.
Fox92 Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 He is gifted and, like Wilshere, has had some terrible injuries. Also, Ramsey was shifted wide by Wenger... Not sure if he's the best midfielder in the World, though. I do think Arsenal have a good, solid, creative midfield this year.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 19 September 2013 Author Posted 19 September 2013 But say he was Spanish or even English. Everyone would be making out he's the best player since messi. Honestly told my mates, he'll be the best midfielder in the world in the next year. What inestia or Xavi ... He'll be better and I will bump this thread as proof. That I didn't jump on a bandwagon a year from now, when he's worth 100 million.
Kitchandro Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 He's been dogshit for about 2 or 3 years. He's does look good at the moment but it's only been for a few games this season.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 19 September 2013 Author Posted 19 September 2013 No the last half of the season, he was arsenal best player.

Samilktray Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 English folk are too blinded by Wilshere. I rate Ramsey above him
Bryn Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 He was ****ing garbage after he came back from his broken leg :: This season he's looking the player he should, but the previous two? On your bike.
sdb Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 This is unreal. He's been a very mediocre player for the last few years. He's currently looking really good. 'Best in the world' is clearly a wind up, and 5 games is never enough to judge. 10 games maybe. Agree that he's similar to Wilshere though, but that's because he's hugely overrated too.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Thought he was starting to look the business at the end of last season, so much so that he's in all my fantasy teams. Been proved right so far !!
Donut Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Most in form British player yes 2nd BEST British player no
Finnegan Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 In all seriousness, he had a horrendous injury at a very young age which clearly did him a lot of damage. He came back in to an underperforming Arsenal side, was played out of position to cover shortages and struggled. But anyone who doubts either his ability or Wenger's judgment of a young player, or the ranks of ACTUAL Gooners (not cvnts on your facebook from Sileby or Glenfield that claim to be massive fans) that hugely hype him is just a muppet. The lad is class, is finally back in his proper position with bags of confidence again. Actually WATCH him before you start repeating shit you've heard people spout for 18 months.
Captain... Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Most in form British player yes 2nd BEST British player no So who is better than him at the moment? Obviously Bale, but other than that, you offered me any other British player or Ramsey I would take Ramsey, obviously Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Ferdinand are currently better players but they are past their best, Rooney, Sturridge? Maybe. Walcott, Wilshire, Carroll, Welbeck, Milner? Nah would rather have Ramsey, The most promising English player at the moment is probably Andros Townsend. So if you don't think he is the best which British would you sign ahead of him?
ScouseFox Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Sturridge is better and in better form but you can't really compare Ramsey and Sturridge as they play in different positions. But when your team is top of the league, winning 3 and drawing 1, have scored 5 goals in 4 games and you've scored 4 of them I'd say you'd struggle to find any player in better form.

Of course Sturridge has been awesome, which is why I put him with Rooney as 2 players who are possibly better than Ramsey at the moment.
