Haydos Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 It's a long season and I think we need to add quality in all areas barring the defence. Dyer is so wasteful I think a pacey left winger who has a end product would be my priority, as would a creative midfielder to back up knockeart should he get injured. I don't think adding to many will happen but we don't have strength in depth, and need to have a competative bench/ backup, who will push the starting 11 for a starting spot, wood, and Hammond are the only two at the minute I could see pushing for a place. If we are still around the top in January, I think we should take a gamble and spend, as playing the same 11 week in week out will risk burn out, and a serious dip in form. Pacey wingers with end products play in the Prem mate.
TJB-fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Gabriel Obertan on loan? Paddy McCourt yes please
5waller5 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Yes absolutely. Not doing so cost us dearly last season. Need 2 players minimum in jan, for the push home.
sylofox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 If we look like making the prem by then any money we spend needs to be done on players that could handle the prem. Not just do a job now otherwise it,s money wasted imo
LCFC FOX Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Moyes has said Zaha can go out on loan in January so we could look at him for a winger. Could be just what we need
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 We need to be look at around three players in January, a winger, a striker & possibly a right back. Zaha (on loan) yes please, failing that i would look at Marc Pugh, Tom Ince (wow, that would be business). Striker wise, Fryatt (unless Wednesday extend the loan deal) or Leon Clark.
sylofox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Get Was to get some polish mates in. If nothing else they will under cut our guys wages

Really?
Beliall Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 if we are still second in jan, I wouldn like to see anyone come in and potentialy upset a winning formula.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 We could do with another pacy winger in the style Lloyd who can play on the right. Knockaert will sometimes not be available and will have off games, as we saw last season.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Leon Clarke?! Really? 9 goals for Cov this season, which isn't bad.
Joe Weetman Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Anothe LB for when konchesky isnt available
Danno Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 James Vaughan, and a new winger but I don't have a clue who.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Getting extensions done is the strengthening we need.
Walshy5 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 We're two players short of finishing in the top two imo. A striker and a right footed winger who can put a decent cross in.
Walshy5 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 And also we must start negotiations on a contract for morgan. Im resigned to losing kasper though. Hes on very big wages and we wont be able to offer him that again.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Not forgetting Marc Albrighton on loan would be good.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 I'm gonna say yes to this. I think we're a much better side with pace in it. That's why I was happy to sell Marshall. I'd love to see a quick winger on the right too. Mainly when playing away from home on the counter.
yorkie1999 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 I'd take Callum Wilson from Cov, just to put some money in sisu's pockets and piss the fans off.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 I'd take Callum Wilson from Cov, just to put some money in sisu's pockets and piss the fans off. He's good aswell, fast and can certainly bang it into the back of the net on regular basis.
Lionheart Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Definitely strengthen in January if we are serious about getting promotion, still think we lack depth in squad, our first 11 would possibly get us promoted but if and when we get injuries suspensions we may not be able to keep the momentum going.
