CosbehFox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Hate to kill the mood but no one will come in unless players go out, much like previously this season
deep blue Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 And also we must start negotiations on a contract for morgan. Im resigned to losing kasper though. Hes on very big wages and we wont be able to offer him that again. We will if we're in the Prem.
kingfox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 What about Nicky Maynard? Historic banter brought back from 2011.
Corky Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Definitely go for Paddy McCourt, only on a deal until the end of the season with Barnsley.
dmayne7 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 9 goals for Cov this season, which isn't bad. Yeah I know he's decent but his championship record is poor and he's 28 now so think there are many better short-term options or players that we could keep if we go up. He's certainly no better than any of our 5 strikers and he wouldn't be good enough for the prem so don't see the benefit.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 would like a winger in , Sako would be nice .
Stadt Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Try and get Ibe on loan from Liverpool or Gnabry from Arsenal
LCCFox96 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Would love sako in but looking £3mil+ for him. But he does have assists and a good 8-12 goals a season. Should have got adomah in the summer as he was cheap from Bristol city and is like a bigger powerful better finishing version of Lloyd. Albrighton would be good or someone like puncheon. Only need a versatile winger imo. Strikers are fine and are scoring more freely this year and the team generally looks quite solid.
Captain... Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Well yes, we should always be looking to strengthen, not going to suggest any names, just anyone who is better than what we have at a sensible price. We'll know at the time where we need to strengthen, injuries, form and selling players good make strengthening vital, at the moment I don't think we are weak in any areas, nor are we outstanding in anything other than just winning games. What I really don't want to see is a player brought in for big money because for whatever reason that just never works for Leicester, and could do more damage than good. Hmm that makes me wonder...
MGLCFC Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 James Vaughan, Marc Albrighton (loan) and Aaron Cresswell for me. Sell Waghorn, Whitbread, Danns and St Ledger, get Gallagher away on loan. That should balance the books
49er Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Chris Burke - Brum will be fighting relegation and he may want away. Excellent at this level. Another option - Antonio of Sheff Wednesday. Jamie Ward of Derby anyone? In order to dent Burnley's promotion hopes and improve ours, how about an audacious bid for Danny Ings?!! This will be based on the assumption that we will be promoted and can therefore afford the investment as the riches of the Premiership beckon.
Bayfox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 We will if we're in the Prem. Not if he's signed a pre-contract with someone in Jan.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 I think some people are forgetting the dreaded FFP
cityfanlee23 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 2 x young winger to replace dyer and one to give knocky something to think about.. Goal scoring striker, sell nugent whilst we still can get some return on him, unless he manages to score more from open play, Would do it for me... 2x wingers (Young cheap and hungry) 1 quality striker who will score goals, someone like grabban

No thanks IMO we need a right sided winger as back up, but they won't be cheap. Gonna depend on us off loading danns etc. Also will depend on our position within the FFP

You never miss a chance to have a dig; it's getting really boring.

cityfanlee23 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Did Nugent sleep with your wife? You never miss a chance to have a dig; it's getting really boring. No buce, I have an opinion that we should sell.. My opinions have been posted on the relevant nugent thread, this is an opinion on if we should strengthen, therefor my opinion is sell nugent whilst we can, and get someone different in who can score those 20+ goals. nicky maynard for example. is better than nugent if played to his strengths. If you look carefully, engage your brain, and re-read my post, I was not having a DIG at him, I said I would like to see him replaced. this is not a DIG at his performance, or his ability, But if you think he is the best striker on the planet that is your choice. I think there are better and we can attract better at the right price. So I posted it on the relevant thread. It's my opinion that he is not good enough. If I want to post it. I will. Bye buce.
foxfanazer Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 As others have said. Winger Striker (Vaughan or Nakhi Wells)
cityfanlee23 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 As others have said. Winger Striker (Vaughan or Nakhi Wells) Would love to see wells, but what would they want? He is a fans favourite and has contributed alot to them! Kind of like a Wes morgan, we would want more than he is worth as he is an important asset to us, Surely they would want £2m+ atleast?
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 We haven't got millions to spend anymore. The sooner people realise this the better. James Vaughan would cost silly money 5 mill + at least I'd say
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 If we are going well then it could suit us to look for some quality loan signings with a buy option, as for the players going out of contract then I like to think that we will still be able to make good offers to the players we want to keep, this is said with an eye on what may happen with FFP if the courts rule against it. But no matter what we should only be looking to improve the squad and not just more of the same, DeFoe on loan would make me smile

I didn't state an opinion on Nugent at all, never mind claiming him to be the 'best striker on the planet'; my comment relates to your seemingly obsessive hounding of the guy.You have made your opinion clear ad nauseum, just repeating it like a mantra; that's not discussion, it's dogma.
