steveherbe Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Anyone got stringers commentary of knockys goal? He must have come out with something profound like the allez les blues comment.
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Im guessing he went for something more subtle like - "And Schlupp has the ball running down the wing, as a seagull flies overhead. The weather is abit overcast here, not very warm. Alot of people wrapped up in warm coats holding a cup of bovril. Alan Young is wearing an extra pair of pants and his favourite socks. OMG WHAT A GOAL. ANTHONY KNOCKAERT HAS SCORED A VOLLEY."
Corky Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Anyone got stringers commentary of knockys goal? He must have come out with something profound like the allez les blues comment. "You didn't have to be so harsh, Mr Sugar".
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 he said "cheese today Alan? next match I'm going to do us pickle."

Unabomber Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Seriously? Yeah, me and my mate muted the tv after the game to listen to the radio as we expected some good commentary. Stringer was like "and the ball is played back but he's offside. ohhhh it's in Knockaert ohhh revenge etc etc"
Facecloth Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Yeah, me and my mate muted the tv after the game to listen to the radio as we expected some good commentary. Stringer was like "and the ball is played back but he's offside. ohhhh it's in Knockaert ohhh revenge etc etc" That's shocking. There is no part of that goal that could be offside. Schlupp receives the ball facing the defender and skins him, and you can't be offside if behind the ball, but there were Watford players between Knocky and the goal anyway. That is seriously bad considering he gets paid for that!

peterborofox Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Heard the commentary was laughable, apparently. Knockaert was offside despite being behind Schlupp, and Dyers goal just slowly trickled in haha
Stadt Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Anybody hear him say "We are normally balanced and impartial here at radio Leicester."
ozleicester Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 His commentary for the Knocky goal was terrible... along the lines of.. ".... he cuts it back to Knockaert, hes offside.... (MASSIVE CROWD ROAR)... no hes not, its a goal!"
Fox92 Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 I know we all question Stringer at times, but this is a new level. Offside when Schlupp pulled the ball back!? Mind you, I wouldn't swap Stringer for anyone. I know he seems to find it difficult to describe goals (just getting excited), but at least he isn't boring.
harpendenfox Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 Perhaps the crane got in the way of his view?!
Strokes Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 I would rather listen to gary birtles than stringer.
Bert Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 Perhaps the crane got in the way of his view?! He told me he'd seen a flag or something, had a dodgy view.
MattyFromLE Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 To be honest to Stringer, they posted a picture of their view, and there was half a building site in the way - so I can see why he perhaps didn't get the full picture hah.

Manwell Pablo Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 Heard the commentary was laughable, apparently. Knockaert was offside despite being behind Schlupp, and Dyers goal just slowly trickled in haha The ball was laid backwards as well.....can only be offside if it goes forwards, and he was well behind the last man as well was he not, in fact he had to be it deflected of one of their players Laughable comment.
TheStig Posted 4 November 2013 Posted 4 November 2013 Anybody hear him say "We are normally balanced and impartial here at radio Leicester." but at least he didnt say "knowledgable and intelligent".......
