GLC Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 yeah mines the same thinking i am just going to go into town one day and get it all sorted nightmare but sure it will be alright how hard can it be??? I'm lucky, mine likes to drop hints, so I know exactly what to get her.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 yeah mines the same thinking i am just going to go into town one day and get it all sorted nightmare but sure it will be alright how hard can it be??? I'm the complete opposite. I have too many ideas. It's probably a blessing that her birthday's in January. I just note things down throughout the year in my phone when I think of something. I realise this is too late now, but it's worked for me!
kingfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Will go on poontang watch in town just before christmas, in search for a girlfriend. Then if successful, she can play with my baubles.

kingfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 It's better to try and fail than never try at all. If I say I'm videoing it for youtube, there's a better chance of being successful.
Brenfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 I got my first child due a few days before Xmas so I'll hopefully not be spending it in the hospital
Webbo Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 I got my first child due a few days before Xmas so I'll hopefully not be spending it in the hospital We were the same but she arrived early. Best of luck.
Matt Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 I'm off to Australia for three weeks to see some relatives and watch the cricket (Perth and Melbourne tests). I'm sure no one is going to be playing violins for me but I'm going to really miss Christmas here! You lucky bastard. I love an Aussie christmas, done it about 3 times I think, I really should know I did it last year, I'll probably be doing it next year too, but this year it's England unfortunatly.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 You should try being a bit gay - just for Christmas as an experimental treat maybe? Not a chance in hell, geezer.

Matt Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Christmas on the beach....no thanks. Meh, I was saying i'd rather be there because a large chunk of my family is there more than anything amongst other things but while you've breached the subject, beach on christmas day, nothing better. Of course, you are more than welcome to your opinion though and it quite clearly differ's to mine and that's fine.
Guest MattP Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Christmas on the beach....no thanks. Something you have to do once. (Do it as a tourist obviously) Very different. Some thing so strange about unbearable heat in December or January, you can't describe it.
ScouseFox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 yeah mines the same thinking i am just going to go into town one day and get it all sorted nightmare but sure it will be alright how hard can it be??? Going into a girl's shop alone is up there with the most terrifying, dangerous and generally horrific experience in a man's life. Have fun.
Orkneyfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Cant stand it, the starting in October, ridiculous expense, false bonhomie, unmet expectations, having to please every bugger, fighting over Christmas TV; Sky planner full, left overs, visiting people you would rather not see, or worse still them visiting you, dry turkey, keeping the peace, faded decorations, ungrateful kids, crap presents, no refuse collection, shops open on boxing day, shops shut on boxing day, sales of sh*te you never wanted, TV adverts for holidays I can't afford, boxes of dates, hangovers, constipation, someone important always dies. Not a fan.

Orkneyfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 That's Easter I think At least there's chocolate.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Something you have to do once. (Do it as a tourist obviously) Very different. Some thing so strange about unbearable heat in December or January, you can't describe it. I was in Australia in 2005 and ended up climbing Mount Kosciuszko on Christmas Day and having a few beers at the summit. Got some snow in, it felt like Christmas. Then I ended up having a BBQ for Christmas dinner...
StanSP Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 We were in London early, Pre Charlton so we were going round the shops. Found a Hugo Boss aftershave and shower gel for £18! Bargain. Well, you just can't go wrong there. Fair play!
Soar Fox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 I love Christmas, spending it at home as usual. Set up a boozing fund about August ready for Christmas currently £2000 in it so that's alcohol and going out paid for. Done most of my shopping already which is a relief, can't wait for 13th December now and fully able to enjoy my 23 days off.

Strokes Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Is the get together going to be fancy dress? If so can I come dressed as a gollywog, with emu on one hand and a boxing glove on the other?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 First Christmas Day off since 2008, can't ****ing wait.
