wight88 Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Before any hornets fans get all excited about a thread about them am genuinely curious to know whether it was our destruction of them that has put them on such a downer? They looked so wonderful as well, almost glistening in fact. I suppose Yeovil and Barnsley will now become their new hated rivals. Ah well, was nice while it lasted, chin chin and all that.
ADK Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Fans expectations are too high imo. It's not easy to mould together a bunch of loanees and journeymen into a great side and the bar has been raised higher this season. They were always erratic even last season, and I think they have a worse squad this time.
Finnaldo Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 No one cares. It's Watford. I hoped we would have stopped the weird obsession after we beat them. Obviously not.

They weren't THAT good against us anyway, they are a shade of the side they were last year now they've lost the likes of vydra. How much longer will zola get do we think?? I think he's one bad result away from being a gonner...

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Abdi has been missing for them and still think Vydra was the difference. Deeney apparently hasn't been the same player without him

Likewise I hope some of our fans can stop their obsession with them and forget about it, it's boring. No one cares. It's Watford. I hoped we would have stopped the weird obsession after we beat them. Guest Bilo Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 A little bit of schadenfreude due to the breathtaking arrogance of many of their fans who posted on here, but that's about it.

sylofox Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Think it is great that a club we pay no attention to. Holds us in such high regard.
Fox92 Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Don't really care about them, they are just another team that beat us in the play offs. Having said that, it's nice to see them lose just because some of their fans annoyed me on here.
MC Prussian Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Watford are trying to emulate the Leicester City from about two to three seasons ago, including the illusions of grandeur, the arrogant behaviour and they now earn the rewards for that maneuver. They should've learned and listened earlier. And yes, alongside the losses for Burnley, QPR and Forest, this has made my Saturday more than just complete. It's so satisfying.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 November 2013 Posted 30 November 2013 Happy that they're doing shit just for that cvnt of a PA announcer they have there
Super_horns Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Certainly missing Vydra's pace and Abdi's ability to pick put a pass in midfield. Plus looking very average in defence and trying to walk the ball in the net.. Is Zola under pressure? Guess so but who would we get in charge - some known Italian without any club what the league is about. And we always lose to teams at the bottom regardless of who we have and which position we're in.

Mack Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Their owners business model is an interesting one, and the amount of players on Udinese's books is enormous. It almost worked for them last season but each year the make up of their squad will be quite different from the last, and it's the continuity that that we have that has given us an edge over teams like Watford this term. They might find next season the players transferred / loaned to them by the parent club are a better bunch, but this season they look like even play offs might be too much for them. And you cant blame Zola either in truth, he can only work with what he is given. Problem is their fans are such a bunch of arrogant know it all pricks that you try to have an open conversation about it with them and they get all high and mighty. Maybe this season will be a needed lesson for them, or maybe they will have a fiddle about in January and come stronger in the second half of the season?

Corky Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 I'm annoyed because after our win there I said that no team would go there and win 3-0 for a long time, not two games.
Super_horns Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Paolo Di Canio. trollface.jpg He'd probably have a heart attacking on the touchline based on our recent defending!
Guest shearfox Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Always was going to be a struggle, they pretty much loaned their whole side out last season, now it needed to be replaced and unable to do so. Best to buy your own players
