The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Campbell has just made a statement following his bail. "I am 100% innocent and hoping to play in our draw against Milwall on Saturday"
Guest MattP Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Had my suspicions when he ran after someone.
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 DJ Campbell is an absolute disgrace. I swear we're jinxed that every player we pay some kind of decent money for turns out to be an absolute twat in some way, maybe it's just poor buying from us or the money turning some of their heads, but it's unbelievable. This is the same bloke who slagged off LCFC when he was out on loan from us and then was ridiculously allowed back into our side, the same bloke who told Hull he was going for a dinner break before driving off and signing for Blackburn on deadline day. Personally I'd ban him and the others from ever playing again competitively. They've brought the game into disrepute. Campbell has just made a statement following his bail. "I am 100% innocent and hoping to play in our draw against Milwall on Saturday as I've got £250k coming my way if I manage both 15 offsides and a red card"
Sampson Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 There's an easy way to solve all this in all sports. Ban betting. It's the only sure way of eradicating it completely. Sounds similar to the alcohol ban in the US in the 1920s, which caused mass rises in organised crime, drug addiction, police corruption, murders and gang violence.Legalised regulated gambling is a far more preferable option.
Matt Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 May explain some of his performances here. I understand he is being accused of this relating to a game in recent weeks but he may have done it in the past, he may have done it here it may explain some performances here, along with players he played along in his spell here.
inckley fox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Makes you wonder why MM was so Quick to get rid off Allen. There is probably so much more going on in football than we will ever know about.... You remember all sorts of crazy stories around that period. Mandaric said there was a 'secrecy pact' or whatever you call it in Allen's severance, and added 'if it ever does come out why he was sacked then you may think very differently of me.' That said, I'm sure I heard some daft tale about someone hitting a youth team player in the run-in to the dismissal. Who knows?
Lionator Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 The issue is that it's so easy to do. For too long football has arrogantly ignored the thought that this could happen in the 'beautiful game' and people are still taking this as a bit of a joke. Also trying to divert the blame to referees (who are the most honest people in the game) is poor.
separator Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Makes a change for a dj to be arrested thats nothing to do with Operation Yewtree.

For too long football has arrogantly ignored the thought that this could happen in the 'beautiful game' and people are still taking this as a bit of a joke. Also trying to divert the blame to referees (who are the most honest people in the game) is poor. Exactly. This pretty much sums up the problem.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 D.J. is a real heap of manure. Ban him for life.
Danizen Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 There's an easy way to solve all this in all sports. Ban betting. It's the only sure way of eradicating it completely. That's like banning sex to eradicate rape. Plus, these allegations involve Chinese betting firms, banning betting wouldn't even begin to eradicate this.
yorkie1999 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Ban betting that can be affected by a player, except scoring of course.
Lionator Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I guess the solution is to make a huge example of these players. Ban them for life and give them a prison sentence. Show them how foolish they've been and show that it will not be tolerated.
m00nie Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Campbell has just made a statement following his bail. "I am 100% innocent and hoping to play in our draw against Milwall on Saturday and i bet i get yellow carded" fixed(no pun intended) it for you
pleatout Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I think you should read my post again, I clearly stated guilt or innocence could be possible. From what I remember he used to work for a courier company in West London doing deliveries before he went pro, so he's had a 'normal' life before Football. You'd think with that in mind he would protect and nurture his grossly overpaid career and wouldn't dare jeopardize it in an way. On the other hand he might just be a greedy idiotic fool. Clearly ? Where? My point was and is that posters [not particularly you, you were the last poster before I started my reply] really do need to be a little more careful with the language they use.
Salieri Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 DJ Campbell has confirmed that he will be available to play in this weekends 2-1 defeat against Millwall.
KFS Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 "Finally, a DJ that will take requests!" Made me chuckle
Chairman of the Bored Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I remember Scunthorpe away in League one. I actually counted his offsides - FOURTEEN in the first half. Scunthorpe away - those were the days.
woddyuk Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 DJ Cambell arrested in spot fixing allegations! I never knew you could bet on the number of offsides in a game... Also ssn website had a picture of Blackburns DJ wearing a tops tiles lcfc away kit. Itvs daybreak showed him in a Blackpool kit.. Ffs our top media outlets cant even get that right..
Tielemans63 Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 You remember all sorts of crazy stories around that period. That said, I'm sure I heard some daft tale about someone hitting a youth team player in the run-in to the dismissal. Who knows? I remember that. I've always thought that Allen was binned for making money from some of those transfers e.g. Casino Jimmy, Kaebi, Sergio Hellings. Even though none of them commanded fees, there was just something dodgy about those signings.
surrifox Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 i think the role of the agent(s) and the movement of money in the deals might have been questionable
Thracian Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Yeah there's a really easy way to stop Crack Cocaine being distributed as well let's make it ille....... oh wait. The problem is not from making the laws but in dealing with those who chose to break them.
Thracian Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 That's because he was crap whenever he played. Is A. Blackman at it again, he gets everywhere. At your next medical they should check for brainwashing. For such a pedantic individual I don't see the "man" bit mentioned anywhere. Blacken to Blackman - I'm glad you're not a chauffeur. Sent to Blackpool you'd end up in Blackfriars.
