Just guessing, but could Nugent be going?

As the title says, no inside info just guesswork.

 

As we are looking at other strikers such as SEB and Berbatov ( lol) maybe Nugent is going to make way?

 

I think Nugent is a great player, and some of his goals and deft-touches are highlights of our recent years, but he has been out of form and unsettled recently.  Also, he is on a big wage and coming towards the end of his contract.

 

Personally I hope he doesn't go in January.  I think it would leave a hole in the dressing room.  As for the Summer, well I suppose it depends on his form between now and then and any other options which become available.

 

After all, all players eventually move on.

I hope not considering he is our top goalscorer. I do think it would be hard to find a better player/replacement at this level. And if he did go, who would be our strikers? Wood, Vardy, Schlupp and Waghorn? Have I missed anyone? Not very strong imo.

 

The only thing that would influence me into selling him is his contract. It's up at the end of the season and he's on a big wage. I don't want us to get to the summer and not renew it for whatever reason, having rejected a bid for him earlier in the season. Same situation as Kasper with Hull.

I wouldn't rule it out. Considering this is someone who is supposedly playing for a new contract, he didn't look one bit interested to me on Saturday.

So I have some info on this, his parents went to the Brighton match on Saturday. They happened to be in a pub with us prior to the match and they say he is happy to be at Leicester but he is not happy he hasn't got a new contract sorted out and may have to consider a move to Forest in the January window as they are interested. You can choose to believe me or not but I can guarantee this came direct form them.

i for one will believe you, i think the whole contract problem is affecting the team and i think we will see a different dave nugent if we get his sorted out. The same goes for wes.

i trust you 1964FOX,I'm surprised knowing your hatred towards Forest you could contain yourself!

Question,considering he isn't on form and this Forest interest/ contract stall would you.Give him a new contract ASAP and Hope this was a reason for his blip of late( he has been quality)resign yourself that if a deal was close for him moving to Forest drop him straight away or just carry on as if nothing has happened?

Think I'd lose any respect I had for him if he signed for Forest because we didn't offer him enough.

I would hate it if he went to the scum but we need to sort this out. He's not been at his best recently but we certainly don't want him helping them go up.

Why? Forest offer him what he wants or meet him half way, we just sit there on our hands and do nothing.

Why lose respect when it's not really down to him?

 

For joining a joke of a club, who are short-termists (and look like they could well fail to go up), under a twat of a manager, to maintain a wage that quite frankly he's very lucky to be on.
