Devonfox1884 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Petric released by West Ham. 32 but can finish, I bet we have a look there as he's on a free. Decent shout, but in my opinion, it wouldn't make sense. He would be on a fair whack wages wise, and NP has recently said any signings he makes will be premier league quality, he's just been released by a premier league club, that says something surely?! Our money would be better invested in mahrez- young, promising and cheap.
Oxshottfox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Was this thread started by his agent? He is old, slow and irrelevant to the aims we now have in the league. Cablnr believe we are at 4 pages for this drivel
Devonfox1884 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Assombalonga looks a good versatile option. Great shout-he can finish. But he cost them £1 million at the start of the year-so if they are going to sell him, they'll want more than that for him.
Grewks Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Was this thread started by his agent? He is old, slow and irrelevant to the aims we now have in the league. Cablnr believe we are at 4 pages for this drivel He has almost scored more goals in open play in the championship this season than Nugent, and he has only played 7 games in a terrible wednesday side.
RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Could Adam Johnson be worth a loan move? Not seen much of him at Sunderland recently, is he injured. Low on confidence but could be a good player at this level and may have to drop down to rebuild his career. Was a fan couple of years ago.
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Was about to post about Assombalonga. Knew about him while he was at Southend on loan. Perfect fit for us. Young and hungry. No pushover either. Big strong lad. Pace about him. Would cost a bit though.
Devonfox1884 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 he is crap If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have got out of league 1 as easily as we did (if at all that season), he may not be the greatest player on this earth, but have some respect for a player who did his bit and worked hard for the club-unlike beckford, mills etc... Who don't seem to get slated as much as him.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 he is crap For fooks sake, try harder... why do you think he's crap? Make an argument, explain..

Playing for them regular....but like the rest of the side just not doing a lot.
english77 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Leicester City : Une offre pour Mahrez Leicester City (Championship) s'est positionné concrètement pour récupérer Riyad Mahrez, le milieu de terrain offensif du Havre.
dannythefox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 I'd take him back had a good loan spell at Shef Wed and I was gutted to see him go even though he didnt pull his weight in the last few matches. Hes better than any striker we have on the bench at the minute.
dannythefox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 I'd take Becchio he's always been solid in the championship and he knows where the net is. Also I'd take Liam Trotter
Bettsj2 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Anyone saying he's crap should watch the highlights from our first play off season under Pearson. Up until he broke his face he was set for 20 goals. His 2nd goal at home to Blackpool was absolute class. He was our best striker under Sousa who for some reason favoured DJ and Sven didnt give him a chance. If you want a striker thats different to what we have, has a good scoring record at this level, would fit in with our work ethic, is cheap and is available, Matty Fryatt is the man that makes sense.
ealingfox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 If Rhodes is for sale, QPR will buy him. I won't be surprised if they don't even want him, and just buy him in reaction to any concrete interest from other Championship sides to stop them from getting him. Becchio is a realistic loan surely? Chris Burke would be an ideal signing for us imo, also willing to let this Jason Mraz guy show us what he can do.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Would be pointless bringing back Gradel.
Bettsj2 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 I'd take Becchio he's always been solid in the championship and he knows where the net is. Also I'd take Liam Trotter After watching Millwall against Boro the other night, Trotter is the last player i'd want.
49er Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Chris Burke would be an ideal signing for us imo, also willing to let this Jason Mraz guy show us what he can do. Excellent player at this level with a good engine. How about Fryatt on loan?
Jakemoore Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Whether this is true or not I don't know..but whether it is worthwhile or not depends on bus wage demands imo..I think he's decent enough at this level but I personally wouldn't want to see us paying him high wages to play, he's not THAT good.
hackneyfox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 I thought that under FFP QPR are likely to lose all profit they would make in their first year back in the PL in fines, every pound over 8m is a fine of a pound. If that is likely to be applied surely they'll look to loans rather than big money signings.

rico Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Rumour on Twitter from #EFC Bryan Ovieado having a medical at LCFC (unconfirmed) Would be a good signing if true
