Potential January signings

Wouldn't do us any harm as an option but he's a limited striker. No great pace, doesn't spot the runners early enough, fairly easy to shadow into cul-de-sacs because he's a bit one footed and he's not a great dribbler.

Doesn't score the widest range of goals but is more an 18-yard predator. He's virtually no threat in the air, too easily knocked off the ball for a striker and I've never regarded him a class passer.

Injury free though, he does need marking and would probably be good for the six or eight goals that might see us over the promotion line.

At 47 give me 3 weeks to get fit I'll run through a brick wall for us for 2k a week.

I'll score a few in our line up too.

Rather get a brese block in than step back.

We shouldn't undersell ourselves. Being top of the league and debt free will attract good players, especially those who are frustrated at being PL squad/back up players.

This!

I'm pretty sure Lionel Messi and the like are now foaming at the gash because we are debt free

Not sure id have him over Nugent and Vardy but id much rather him come on than Schlupp and Waghorn, who can both be very hit and miss-hopeless one day and very hard to play against the next.

however, fryatt's positioning up top is not a coincidence of being in the right place at the right time, as his goal scoring for us suggests. If nugent and vardy positioned themselves better we would create more chances, that are easier to convert.

Also, his knack of one touch finishing is brilliant. The number of times ive come away from some (away games in particular) games thinking that we don't shoot enough is fairly frequent. This is due to the fact we dilly dally when about to shoot, therefore giving the opposition time to react. His movement and finishing is better than the strikers we have atm, however his overall game is not as good. I'd still take him.

He's a 15 goal a year man at best which is what Vardy is averaging but he offers far more in terms of movement and being a pain in the arse than Fryatt could dream of.

Anyway he was featuring slightly in the prem, went on loan for fitness, done well...

Came back into the first team, scored.

Doubt he will be coming here now....

Same with someone mentioning dwight gayle the other day??

Not after the rocket he scored on boxing day!

Oviedo is starting every game for Everton because Baines is injured, you should work for football rumours.

Apparently Gnabry could be available for a loan, weren't we linked to him with Miquel? He'd be immense but probably good enough for a prem team. Won't get a sniff with Walcott fit and the Ox close.

Personally I think the most realistic signing would Adam Le Fondre . proven goalscorer and posh 2nd name what else do we need!

Think it was nico yennaris with miquel we were linked with. Gnabry would be a good loan signing imo but I'd rather have someone on a permanent to see us out of the championship or to build for next year.

Apparently Leeds interested in Tom Ince - could he be a useful signing?

Why on god's earth would he go there?

Is ince a striker or winger or can he play both, he would still be an amazing signing wherever he plays.

Never said he would go there, I said Leeds are interested in signing Ince and if Leeds could afford him, then surely we can. I believe I read somewhere that he has some clause in his contract that allows him to leave for peanuts in January.
