Malky Mackay leaving Cardiff

Recommended Posts

Wow, glancing at their boards, some Cardiff fans actually seem to be backing Tan and expect him to be pulling of a masterstroke à la Southampton. They seem to think Solskjær is set to be their Pochettino.

The fuc k is Tan doing? Everyone I know here (Cardiff) love Malky and I'm quite fond of him tbf. It's just clueless, does he not think this will impact on the players attitude on the pitch? He's ****ing delusional and to be quite honest I'm still a bit shocked that everyone just rolled over with the red shirts thing even though I know Tan nearly stopped them from going into administration. I think good form and getting promoted quietened it down a bit but I think the fans will not put up for it for long.

You don't think there's some people on here who would act any differently?

That 'handshake' is quite amazing & it has obviously reached a point of no return.  Mackay will be alright, but should hang in there until he is sacked.  He's shown his worth & should get a decent offer from another club.  He's best off out of it.

I'm pretty sure we could all come up with a comprehensive list of people on here we know wouldn't act any differently.

But you'd assume their people would be at least slightly weary given Tan's egomaniacal decision making so far.

I really, really hope he does a Christian Constantin and appoints himself manager.

He'll appoint his son's other mate.

Well, yeah, and most Leicester fans would turn up in their <whatevercolour> shirts.

At the end of the day, people want to see football and want to support their local team. This country is massively, politically apathetic - look at how many people turn up to vote on government and that actually matters (or is supposed to.)

Even fewer will vote, even with their feet, when it comes to football. They just want to trudge on with an easy life. Ranting on internet forums is one thing but when it actually comes down to it? You crack on. We'd be exactly the same here and about 99.9% of people who say that Leicester fans are different or that THEY are different are either liars or delusional.

Voting with your feet won't work nowadays.

Ticket sales aren't making the same percent of total income like they used to.

I'd expect far more of us to kick off.

The reason Cardiff haven't is because they are small time and being in the top division is so ridiculously rare for them that they're too desperate not to give it up.

I'm not really sure what your point is anyway. It's not happened to Leicester, it's happened to Cardiff, and their fans have been found wanting, regardless of what other clubs fans may or may not do in a hypothetical, imaginary situation. I think it's fair to judge them on how they've behaved, which on the whole has been fvcking pathetic. And any group of fans that bent over and took it like they did would be pathetic, us included.

They're getting exactly what they deserve with this cvnt. They were happy for him to make a mockery of them so complaining now will cut no ice with me.

But hey, they're Welsh, that's what's more important, right? I'm sure you'll defend them to the end no matter how low they sink.

The bloke is clearly mad but no sympathy at all for Cardiff fans considering they have put up with him doing this sort of shit already for ages.

The full banner (on the day they celebrated promotion, who the fúck even cares about the owner enough to make a banner on a day like that) says "TAN IS THE MAN". Terrific.

Tbf Tan hasn't done much wrong in this situation, he's given McKay the option of walking out with dignity or taking his compensation packet. You can see why he might be upset that McKay still wants to sign players in January after the vast investment he got his way in the summer.

You'd be sadly disappointing then.

Mackay still has his dignity in this if he is sacked.

Mackay actually said in his interview he would talk with Tan about signings. Tan could've told him in private that no money was available, Mackay tells the media and they get on with things.

Tan is just pissed off that Mackay is getting all the adulation and adoration from the supporters and he's getting little. There are no real footballing reasons for sacking him so this is the only way to get rid.

Supposedly they are targeting a British manager who is in a job, Redknapp probably.

Redknapp going north of Watford! no chance i think you've better chance of Cameron quitting as prime minster to become a dustman.

My guess next Cardiff boss... Di Matteo, I don't think they'll go british.

Just seen on twitter they're going for Dave Jones?!

I read somewhere that they were going for Dave Jones (who took legal action against Tan previously) as Director of Football in an attempt to further force Mackay out.
