iamafox Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Hamilton now only needs to finish 2nd in Abu Dhabi to clinch the title if Rosberg wins there.
Amin Posted 9 November 2014 Author Posted 9 November 2014 Very happy to see Massa on the podium. Brazil always has the best fans.
DennisNedry Posted 10 November 2014 Posted 10 November 2014 Very happy to see Massa on the podium. Brazil always has the best fans. Better than British fans at Silverstone or the Tifosi at Monza? The title is still in Hamilton's hands. All he has to do is keep it on the black stuff and follow Rosberg over the line. No heroics or silly overtake attempts. Whatever happens, I truly hope the title isn't decided by the ridiculous double points rule.

bovril Posted 10 November 2014 Posted 10 November 2014 I'm not sure I can cope with that silly bint Scherzinger squealing for joy like in 2008. It'd be amusing if Rosberg nicks it now.
Benji Posted 13 November 2014 Posted 13 November 2014 Writing is on the wall for a Hamilton DNF next weekend.
Amin Posted 13 November 2014 Author Posted 13 November 2014 Did anyone watch Murray Walker's programme on title deciders? The last few laps of the 2008 race were incredible. I was supporting Massa and I didn't actually see Hamilton overtake Glock, so when I saw him pass the line in 5th I was dumbfounded. I pretty much reacted like Ferrari and his family did.

Going to watch tonight on I player . Listened to the top 10 final day show downs on 5 live before it , which was good
ADK Posted 13 November 2014 Posted 13 November 2014 I remember that, but I think the season was somewhat spoilt by controversies along with the season before.
MPH Posted 13 November 2014 Posted 13 November 2014 Rosberg has tried every trick in the book to stop Hamilton from winning the title. Allegedly. And yet going into the the last weekend hes on top. To me it seems almost scandalous that the last race is worth double points- someone who has won 9 races could potentially lose out to someone who has currently only won four. But Don't be silly, MPH.... F1 and scandal should never be mentioned in the same sentance.....

Without double points it would still be open though, if Hamilton DNFs and Rosberg wins there can be no complaints.
ADK Posted 13 November 2014 Posted 13 November 2014 No complaints about the points although it would be an unjust result.
Amin Posted 14 November 2014 Author Posted 14 November 2014 Just in case anyone wasn't entirely sure that Bernie has truly lost the plot: http://www.campaignasia.com/Article/392088,exclusive-f1-boss-bernie-ecclestone-on-his-billion-dollar-brand.aspx He compares Caterham and Marussia to Oscar Pistorius ("this poor guy in South Africa"), compares F1 teams to "ladies with credit cards" and F1 doesn't need young fans because they haven't got any money to buy a Rolex or use a bank.
Amin Posted 14 November 2014 Author Posted 14 November 2014 Caterham will race in Abu Dhabi, despite not meeting their funding goal.

He's a fantastic nutter
ADK Posted 17 November 2014 Posted 17 November 2014 Did somebody say Button matched Hamilton? He scored more points than him whilst they were at McLaren. I would say they were close with Hamilton slightly ahead.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 17 November 2014 Posted 17 November 2014 He scored more points than him over 3 years, neither of them won anything. So you're right to laugh, he didn't match him, he bettered him.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 18 November 2014 Posted 18 November 2014 Apparently Max Chiltern is in line to take the spare Caterham seat, according to the BBC.

Amin Posted 19 November 2014 Author Posted 19 November 2014 Good news, Jules Bianchi is no longer in an artificial coma and he has been flown back to France: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/30120317 He's still in a critical position but it's one step closer to some kind of recovery.
