Records

After we have won our sixth in a row for the first time in 20 years I thought it would be interesting to know what LCFC records we have beaten, if any, so far this season and what LCFC records could we beat. I am sure some people will say "whoa, lets just get some more wins before we talk of records" but I don't care, I'm interested in knowing.

So, who has the info?

With one more win against Middlesbrough next week, we'll have equalled the club's best winning record with seven wins in a row.

The record was also established during the 1992-1993 season.

You mean SEVERAL wins in a row if we beat boro.

Nugent.... now at his biggest tally for a season isnt he? 17 I think?

Nah. Sky were wrong. Nugent scored 21 goals in the 2004-05 season: 12 for Bury and 9 for Preston. I'm guessing it just didn't register because it was for 2 different clubs so doesn't come up at one number in the stats.

He also scored 17 for Preston in 2006-07, so he's just equalled that.

That's definitely what he means! Anyone not using the word several should apologise imo.

Was Powell, now Phillips.

I think he was suggesting that it was a record rather than asking.

It was our best ever start to a season was it not?

And kp was our oldest ever debutant, but Chris Powell is our oldest ever player.

Also haven't we broken some sort of record for going the most games without losing by more than 2 goals or was it conceding more than 2 goals.

I believe the a Millwall game which killed off Sven was the last time that happened. 2011, blimey. Also, the Brighton game was the first time we conceded three goals in a 46 game league season since early 2012.

Appalling manager, so glad when he went to Hull.  What happened to him anyway?

I was wondering about that geezer myself. Rumour down here has it that he has gone feral, and was adopted by some foxes.
