Watford (pre match)

Apologies if this has already been posted....

Just had a look at their away record and it is far from the best, their last away victory came on the 5th of October against Huddersfield (2-1) and they have only picked up 16 points out of a possible 42. Winning only 3 of a possible 14.

Its a very winnable game but we will have to be at our very best to claim the 3 points as they are capable of getting a result.

They have drawn 7 of those 14 though - so they've only lost 4 times away from home. Coincidentally, the same amount of away losses as us.

Maybe not in terms of scoreline but in terms of performance/dominance, we've battered a few this season.

Numan's already made the point above, but if Millwall and Derby at home weren't both a battering then I have no idea what is.

both good points, i recind my initial statement.

Whilst no doubt true, is in reality 0% for us as that was during the setting up of Leicester Fosse presumably?

This game is the featured one for FLS, so their should be a stream or two.

They always show this game so they can talk about the playoffs last year for 2 hours

We have beat them

We will beat them

Best away day in our history.

I'd rather have that than winning promotion & FA Cup & Capital One Cup.

lol

Could be a bit more sophisticated and sophomore.

But overall, good effort with a slightly creative touch.

6/10 on the WUM meter.

Not sure I'd even rate it that high. 10/10 for effort, 4/10 for delivery

If you put it all together, our ratings are probably quite close to each other.

I love Watford trolls - you can tell how innocent they still are.

This isn't the game that should be ending our run. We have proven already this season that we have the superior players and they need no motivating to be up for this.

Feeling a lot more confident than I did about the last 3 games. Lets hammer these and send the plastic Udinese fans back to that London with a whimper

All the trolling and WUM-ery is boring, Watford are not big rivals. What happened is in the past and old scores have been settled back in November.

It's been a long week, weather is not looking too bad after all so hopefully we're going to play at or near our best and cement the current run.

Watford fan here. Never liked you lot, never will. Less said the better.

You're on a decent run. On form alone, this should be another W for you guys, but I'm sure you are aware, just as much as us, that nothing ever follows the script in The Championship. Expecting a decent game between the 2 sides. Bragging rights aside, you're up at the top for a reason.

One thing I do want to pick up on though is snippets like this;

What happened is in the past and old scores have been settled back in November.

I don't think they have and here is why:

One was a play off semi-final, which we ultimately went on to lose (wah wah wah) That feeling must have hurt you guys, if Knockaert hadn't bottled the penalty I'm sure you'd have been on cloud nine. As he was lining up to take I'm sure many of you were sat at home watching your TVs thinking you were off to Wembley, in contrast, I was sat in my seat at Vicarage Rd thinking "****, oh well not bad for a transition season." Then it happened. You all know what is next, I won't put you through the pain and anguish of it all, there are enough flooding issues around at the moment. It must've hurt, I know what I felt when that penalty was awarded. Even you guys have to admit it was a bit of a joke. The reason we celebrated like we did was because everything changed in seconds, Dread to hope to elation.

The second reason the score wasn't settled was that Novemeber was a league game. We had the chance to pick up those 3 points elsewhere. Yeah, you played well and we were beaten by clearly the better side but it didn't take away that one moment at Vicarage Road back in May. 2 completely different scenarios that lead to 2 different results. One a knockout competition, the other league.

Also, to add, you criticism of Watford fans celebrating the semi-final like we had gone up, can I just add that after Nugent had scored at KP Stadium there were a certain set of fans singing "Que Sera Sera" and it certainly wasn't our lot.

Let us see what tomorrow brings.

I was there when Knockaert scored and let me tell you, from my perspective, the score is settled. Every match since has further washed away any pain from May coupled with the fact that Watford mean nothing to me in the general scheme of football.

Unbeaten in 10 and 9 wins in a row is only a decent run??

God knows what a good run of form is then!

I think you'll find what settles the score a little more than the score at your place earlier this season is the 32 point gap between us!
