Alan Pardew.....

Just watching MOTD, and finally got to see the so called horrendous incident that seems to have been the talk of the town all day. To be fair, everyone, on talksport, even MOTD pundits are slating Alan, but I personally think its, ok he shouldn't have done it but its brilliant to see passion and desire and old school style fight not all this namby, pamby "its the taking pat that counts, not winning" Yeah Alans been in a few touch line problems but surely that show he has pride in Newcastle, wants to win and gets caught up in the moment.

I say, FA, FIFA, UEFA needs to stop this no tackling, cant shout at the ref incase they have their feelings hurt, theatrical diving game of footy and bring back the older game when players tackled, or got tackled then jumped back up, refs got stick but were man enough to handle it, players showed passion, pride and you could see the emotions of them.

The rules are a joke. I don't like Pardew at all and I think what he did, knowing the consequences, was ridiculous.

But is anyone seriously trying to say that what he did was THAT bad? Over-hyped nonsense.

Savage is a knob sometimes. He don't half spout some crap. He obviously missed the shove Pardew got off the Dull player prior to the nudge with his head.

Yeah I agree. When he was on 606 his attention seeking nonsense was alright because it fit in the tone of the show - and with the right people around him he can be funny. But now the BBC are wheeling him out on Match of the Day it's almost like they're giving his attention-seeking hyperbolic comments credibility.

For the Pardew thing hopefully common sense will prevail - it's not like he ever had any intention of hurting anyone. But given his position a hefty punishment will, and should be coming.

Talking about him getting the sack or that he should be seriously reprimanded over it is daft, its all gone too soft,  100k is a bit much too be fair plus FA will go OTT  over it as well, seriously there making out he planned it with his backroom staff, then he properly ran at the Hull player making Meyler collide into him, then Padrew turned and to face Meyler, bloodrage and headbutted him and then stand of him shouting you "****ing ****, you white piece of trash" at him The press, pundits all need to take a chill pill

Having watched the boxing, I have only just seen this.

There was practically nothing to it.

The hysteria around this is just risible.

I am far more disappointed by the pundits having a wet dream over it than I am by the incident itself.

Honestly the way the MOTD pundits (Savage especially) were going on you'd have thought Pardrew had killed someone. There is a big difference between a proper headbutt and sticking your face into someone. His actions were stupid but let's get some perspective here.

Unprofessional as fvck so you have to laugh but those calling for him to be sacked can fvcking take a day off themselves. Calm down for christ sake.

The dull player was a cvnt.

Such over-reactions and my friend who is a hull fan hasn't stopped crying about it.

Jesus, I've seen more aggressive contact whilst going for my weekly shopping.

Where the **** do you shop!?!?

I heard all of the reaction and comments first. I watched the footage expecting to see Pardew draw blood with a Pearson-style cruncher. Turns out he nudges him. What a mountain over a molehill.

I thought it was just me- I think he is appalling on 606- reactive and arsey with callers who disagree with him and totally lacking in real insight on most issues; presumably the BBC suits see him as some sort of man of the people and he keeps getting these gigs

I don't think Shearer and Savage can really complain about people being aggressive and getting involved in unsavoury incidents!

Mind you Pardew does need to be careful - he might not get another chance (maybe that long term contract and decent job he's doing generally saved him?)

It was something of nothing. It wasn't even a head butt, more of a head push.

He's a bit of a stupid twat but if he was a player nobody would care.

I thought he'd proper butted him for all the hype before seeing it...for 100k fine i bet he wish he had!!!

I really wanted him to have ran from his technical area into the centre circle and zidane'd him everywhere and just trotted off back to the stand.

Of course it's as bad as what the media are making out. A manager shouldn't be doing that. Granted, the player shouldn't have shoved him but a manager shouldn't react like that. Maybe point, maybe have a word, but force his head towards a player? No, it's ridiculous and he's made himself look silly yet again.

The amount of incidents Pardew has been caught up in now just keeps adding up. But, at least, he came straight out and said sorry, especially in front of the television cameras. It's so easy to just put out a statement, or like when players use social media, but fair play to Pardew for that.

I don't think he could complain if he was sacked. Pathetically stupid thing to do. Managers should set an example to their players.

Maybe he was setting an example, maybe he thinks his french contingent are a bit weak ;)
