if fat people don't want to be ridiculed for being fat, they can lose weight, its ENTIRELY in their hands, if you think otherwise then nobody will ever change your mind on the subject

religion is more complicated on every level.

Horse shit, there's a hell of a lot of biological issues regarding losing weight (namely the changes in hormone concentrations - particularly appetite suppressants being absent and hormones which make the body feel the need for food to be at high levels), it's nowhere near as simple as they can lose weight. A lot try but can't because of these issues (there's also a genetic point to it as well). Religion is more complicated than a choice due to the level of indoctrination (plus the "leave and we'll kill you" bits prescribed in some religions *cough* islam *cough*) but it's still as much of a choice as being fat.

In fairness, it's not as if we can massively take the moral high ground.

I've heard us sing about Turkey to Leeds fans as well as the infamous Matthew Harding song to Chelsea fans.

Terrace humour is inherently dark, but at least it used to be witty. Now it seems to be all about LOOOL YOUR JUST A TOWN FULL OF PAKIS AND YOUR MUM SUCKS PAKI COCK BECAUSE SHE LOVES SPUNK!!! ROFL BANTS! #lad

 Seriously?

I personally think that's more offensive than anything Brighton or Leicester get thrown at them.

In our defence, it was only in isolated patches and hasn't been heard for a long time. It was occasionally sung by a small minority in response to some of the racist nonsense some of their fans thought was appropriate, not that that excuses it of course.

I was also left uncomfortable by some of the stuff sung about Brian Clough's death when playing Derby, especially when his son was in a dugout not 100 yards away.

Just seen it, I feel physically sick. I hope this opens some eyes and makes something happen. That police chief was dire.

I wish they hadn't blurred any faces. Those horrible fans should feel ashamed.

Where do you draw the line? There is obviously certain words that are just offensive, but do you personally find things like, "Small town in Asia", "You used to be English, you're not anymore." or and I can't remember the exact wording, but there was something chanted at us once about going out for a curry, offensive?

Ah see that is a good question. I think it's rather subjective if I'm honest. I personally don't think I'd take offence to any of those issues in that particular wording, as they don't appear to hold the malice and derogatory nature that using a word like 'Paki, Nigger or to some extent, bombers' does. But then again I've been going to Leicester games for years and 99% of the time felt completely comfortable, alongside my fairly thick skin. But I think this is far more of an issue for younger children who don't fully understand the nature in which some fans act, nor would they hold the life experience to be able to see past what would only seem like a very intimidating environment.

A young person sitting in the family stand, who hears, on more than one occasion, 'you're just a town full of pakis/bombers etc', without seeing much/any enforcement on stopping it surely grows up with a jaded view of where that line I referred to in my previous post is drawn?

Yes.

But "did you die in instanbul" highlights the nature of football fans.

Clearly not as they were at filbert street.

Unless it was ghosts......

the worst thing about being ginger is you're actually a weaker physical specimen, true story!

Unfortunately you aren't technically correct. Seeing as redheads are a mutation of certain genes we are actually stronger in certain areas whilst weaker in others. We are weaker at dealing with extreme high and extreme low temperatures but on the other hand we are better at tolerating pain. Also it's been shown through trials that Redheads have high levels of muscular strength but are weaker in cardiovascular endurance.

My son had red (well, we said chestnut) hair when he was growing up, although he's  bald now - like his dad. But he was captain of his university rowing eight, and I think that took quite a lot of cardiovascular endurance. Just saying.

they gain the cardiovascular endurance by running away from beatings.

Obviously not every single redhead in the world is going to be exactly the same. That would be like saying every single black person is good at sprinting but can't run long distances. It just doesn't happen like that.

You don't get killed for leaving Islam. Most Muslims are not barbarians. I've known plenty of practicing Muslims who have sons and daughters - some of whom are Muslim and some are westernised and do not follow their parents and siblings religion. None of their family or community have fell out with or tried to harm the non-religious ones. The 'Islam leavers' are treated the same as they always were by other Muslims in my experience.

Gingers are hard as f*&k. I got battered by a ginger girl with a tennis bat when I was under 10.

I've steered clear of them ever since.

I see that an England player who dressed up as Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act has had to apologise to anyone she may have offended.....I wonder if anyone has actually been offended !?!?
