LanguedocFox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 This is good - http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26468636 I hope he gets his wish - in fact, it would be good to see him break Graham Cross's record of 599 appearances for us. And no reason why not if we can keep him, and he stays fit. Great when you have real fans playing for the club.
Fox92 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Good read that, and good to see. In particular, I like that bit: "On a personal note it's very frustrating but on the other side of things I'm a squad player, I'm a Leicester City fan and whether I'm in the team or not and we're top of the league, I'll take that any day," he added. He's got the potential to play a load of games for the club. Three away from 50 at the age of only 21. He could easily do it, and I hope he does. Always nice to see a player, especially an academy product, play hundreds of games for the club. He's under good guidance in Nige as well, as a former solid centre half himself.
Zapp Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Only thing stopping him playing that amount would be an injury nightmare or when the top clubs in the world come in for him. Will feature in major tournaments for England. Considering how the reaction was to kasper last night, it might just get some Leicester fans back in the England mood.
Dan Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Always says the right things and nearly always does the right things on the pitch. Best academy product in a while.

I think he could well do, he's coming in at exactly the right time. He's better than Smalling IMO.
Corky Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Always great to have boyhood fans playing in the team, and hopefully he's the first of many in the coming years. Should be an example to the youth players about application, hard work and quality.
Stadt Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Quality player, hopefully he gets a little bit better on the ball but that'll come with more experience. Anyway I still love him.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Still think it's ridiculous that Michael Keane has been shit all season on loan but starts for the U21's over Liam. Suppose it's just like the senior England team though.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Saying the things the fans want to hear, I hope he stays for a while but if his development continues then idk if we'll be able to hang onto him really. Still think it's ridiculous that Michael Keane has been shit all season on loan but starts for the U21's over Liam. Suppose it's just like the senior England team though. Michael Keane is a Manchester United player.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Liam is living all our dreams Everyone on here would love to play 1 game let alone 500 for city However at 25 years old after 200 lcfc games, with us finishing 17th-6th in PL each year. You got offerd 100k a week and champions league football at a Man U, chelsea etc , I think most would want to give that a go

LCCFox96 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Liam Moore's attitude and performance quality this season has really shown what fantastic potential he has. If he keeps that up at the right level (whether with us or not) and used in the right manner by managers I genuinely believe he could play at international level for the a England seniors. Similar potential can be seen with Lascelles at Forest who looks really string too.
LAprice_ Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 A note on the U-21s... Chalobah and Keane getting in the team just proves that it's about status, not quality. Yes, they're both decent but because they're products of the Chelsea and Man U academies, they're seen to be absolutely sensational. Liam has been brilliant for us all season, if it wasn't for the immense WasWes duo, he'd be starting every week. It's the same reason why the likes of Ings and Drinkwater would never get a look-in in the senior squad; Man U reserves (Welbeck and Cleverley) are OBVIOUSLY so much better.
Brainy Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Probably because Ings and Drinkwater are pulling the strings at Championship level.
LAprice_ Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Probably because Ings and Drinkwater are pulling the strings at Championship level. Yeah, that's the problem, I just think sometimes that they 'pull the strings' so effectively that they're worth a try.
TJB-fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Sorry has someone just said he's better than Smalling? Now, I like Liam and think he could be massive for us but atm to say he's better than Smalling is ludicrous
Langston Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Michael Keane is a Manchester United player. That was the point he was trying to make...

sylofox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Chalobah played over him last night. Chalobah FFS? He's been playing Liam's been out injured. At international level I'd not have picked him. If he gets back in soon and back to his best I do wonder how far down Roy's list he would be. Ten end of season games with A1 perfomance and four or five injuries may see him fly.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Can't see the England thing myself, the fact that the clueless cvnt Southgate picks Chabolah, Keane and Stones ahead of him means he isn't as well respected in the England set up as he is here.
sylofox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 He would not be the first player to be over looked at u21's and picked for the full squad. Just look at the reverse how many play at U16 to U21 that never make the full squad. It's all down to what the managers see's in you. On the 500 games if an England manager said to him or his agent "we need to see you at a higher level playing in Europe" He would be gone like a shot. We all wood even Mr LCFC Steve Walsh would have jumped ship for that. But you can't blame them played for your own team the nxt step is England.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 It would be great to see a home grown player like Liam go on to play hundreds of games for City. Hope he gets his wish
