LCCFox96 Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Quite a player we could have on our hands. A great strike and certainly one of the contenders for goal of the season. His cross for the second was brilliant as well. An assist and a goal - can't ask for much than that from a winger.

Lloyd has had his best ever season in a City shirt and lest we forget, has been a crucial cog in our wheel of success. And Pearson is a canny manager.. he will want to keep Mahrez feet firmly on the floor. I also think Pearson is quite loyal to his faithful players. Lloyd will make a few more apparances this season I believe.

Not only could they not track them, when they did, they just confused them with skills and clever passes. I'm really excited about our team. When we are on top, we are just a joy to watch.

When a team doubles up on a guy and he takes them to pieces it destroys their self-belief...and it wasn't the only time it happened in the match to produce a goal. With the variety of pace and capability we have up front it is so hard for anyone to stop us scoring. Quite apart from the skill in beating the cover and the power/accuracy of the shot I loved the way Mahrez got his head up to see the pictures and to sow a seed of deceit to the inside defender. We've come so far since last year's play-offs. It's the most excited I've felt about our club since the days of Davie Gibson. I've always wanted us to play with panache and this just emphasised why.

Some good skill to beat both defenders a pick his spot. I'm sure he has a great future with us. The look of respect on Pearsons face after the goal shows what they think of him.
