DennisNedry Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 3 games? Damn. Having said that I'm more than happy for Wood to get a run in the side. More finishes like yesterday please Chris!
lgfualol Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Wood will fill his boots, Nugent will have to run more to do Vardy's job. We'll be fine, if in doubt we'll bring Blyth in.
Bert Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 He might as well have ended up getting himself booked then!
ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 He might as well have ended up getting himself booked then! i said this to my mate at half time, he should've just booted the ball out the ground or something to get a booking on his way off . by the time he's back the 10 game deadline will presumably have passed though (?) so it makes no difference anyway.
Sydney the Fox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Wood will fill his boots, Nugent will have to run more to do Vardy's job. We'll be fine, if in doubt we'll bring Blyth in. We've got GTF and KP aswell
fuchsntf Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Yes, Wood should come in, then he can catch Vardy, and Nugent, by getting 16 goals in the last 8 games.
EnglishOxide Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Big chance for Wood. Hes playing for a new contract and a place in next seasons squad. Lets see if he can take it. I do think he has a better finish than Vardy so lets see how many chances at goal he gets. Could also be the end of Vardys season considering that if replacements come in and do well they tend to keep their place. Konchesky didnt even get on the bench for Burnley!
Dickov22 Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Really bad news about Vardy. Hope he gets fit again soon, he deserves to play a part before the end of the season. He's been so influential. My player of the season regardless of what happens in the last few games.
MrSpaM Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 He should have forced the ref to book him before he came off, then the potential susspension wouldnt have mattered!
Stadt Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Wood has another year left after this season doesn't he?

How exactly is he playing for a new contract? He's already on a fair amount so he's hardly going to be expecting an increase is he? Wood has another year left after this season doesn't he? 2 more! He signed a 3 1/2 year deal.
davieG Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 City star Jamie Vardy is to undergo a scan after picking up a suspected groin injury in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor. The 16-goal striker has been in sensational form alongside David Nugent in City’s attack this term and finished seventh in the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season voting earlier this month. Vardy was replaced by Chris Wood in the first half of Saturday’s Turf Moor clash, and ahead of Tuesday’s tricky trip to Wigan, City boss Nigel Pearson revealed: “He is going for a scan this (Monday) morning. “We don’t know the extent of the injury. It’s a disappointment for us because he’s been playing so well, but I suppose looking at how the game on Saturday finished with Chris Wood coming on to have a positive impact, it shows that we do have options. “We know that it will be a disappointment if we do have to miss him for any length of time, but we know that we’ve got very capable players to step into the side. "Until we get some details as to the extent of the injury, I don’t think there’s any point speculating at the moment. We’ll have to see how it is.†Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/310314-vardy-injury-update-1457565.aspx#yzZwYVHtLwqaIfgq.99
Harry - LCFC Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Shame for Vardy but I'm glad Wood's got his chance. Over to you, Chris...
Agent Fox Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 He might as well have ended up getting himself booked then!
Agent Fox Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Maybe he was losing form slightly? I'm not saying he was playing bad but he wasn't the Vardy of a month ago. I suspect a large part of that is down to the yellow card situation but he was missing a few sitters and the ball kept bouncing off him on Saturday. I'm pleased Chris will get his chance now though, genuine goal threat.
Danno Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Vardy out for 4 months http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/310314-vardy-injury-update-1457565.aspx
MC Prussian Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 It doesn't say anything about four months in that link you posted.
MajorDanby Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Where do it say 4 months in that article! Granted he may be out for the rest of the season but no reason to think he won't be able to train through the summer
Southern Fox Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 long old scan this ...............any info anywhere?
