Hack Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I know we have a lot of messages congratulating the team and coaches. And rightly so. They have done a truly remarkable job this season. As Nigel said in the interview he gave after we gained promotion he said he has been planning this moment for the last 2 years. Which brings me to why I have started this particular post. He was able to do that because of the great and smart owners we now have. They have invested very cleverly and were prepared to back that investment and those people they brought in to make this happen. It takes more than the coaches and players to make a successful club. It seems clear that the management and the owners have put together a very professional organisation around the team and coaches. For the team to perform as well as they have effectively a PL in the championship (equivalent to Newcastle in 2009/2010) say a lot for the whole organisation. To Top, his Dad and the management, please accept my thanks for building a club that we all can be proud of. For allowing the club coaches to do their job with out the constant risk of losing their jobs. For building a club culture that the players can feel a love for the club they play for, which is clear from the way they are play for us and the way their celebrated our promotion. Congratulations for making the investment in our club and now getting the return on your investment, you deserve it. I am sure with the dedication you have to the club you will make what ever resources needed by Nige and team to not only survive but prosper in the PL. I am sure King Power will make it a mission for both the benefit of LCFC and King Power to be a POWER in the PL. This is a truly proud day for everyone who supports and loves Leicester City Football Club. Long may the Thais own this proud club.
StanSP Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Well said . I hope they stick with Nige next season and don't pull the trigger on him when the going gets tough for a bit.
Stadt Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think we should give them a round of applause from the first minute to the ninetieth to symbolise our support.
Elsie Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Well said. Our club feels "Professional". It feels like it is run well from the top and all the way through to the cleaners and tea ladies and it bodes well for the future. We as fans owe a big THANK YOU to our owners for giving us and our city a club we can be very proud of.
MattyFromLE Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Banners, confetti and balloons needed for Tuesday to thank them, followed by a round of - Top and Vichai, they're two of our own!

We as fans owe a big THANK YOU to our owners for giving us and our city a club we can be very proud of. Spot on. Pride can't be bought. We've done this the right way, and often the hard way. Well done lads and ladies all round-you've really given us something to be proud of...
Langston Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Top to bottom, it's the whole club, the whole ****ing club is being perfectly represented at the moment. Look at the ****ing tinpot state the likes of Forest are in desperately clinging on to their shitbag owner, the panicked state QPR are in throwing cash at any mercenary who'll kick a ball for them, and it become apparent just how brilliant the Thais are. I feel they've learnt about our game and the fact they kept King Nige after that dismal run last year is testament to the ungodly work he's done off the field as well as on it, they know the game isn't about interference but about letting people that are good at their job, doing their job. We've got the best squad we've had here in years, players you can genuinely feel ****ing proud of. We've had to go through a shitload of Jarretts, Lows and Syllas to get there, but we're there. This squad, this set of staff and this set of owners have given a great city something to be proud of. I'm ****ing sloshed and I couldn't be prouder. Well done everybody, well done Leicester City.

A little more colourfully put than me, but Yes This is exactly what i am saying.
ramaiya2 Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Looking at some of the owners of other clubs at the moment, (Forest, Coventry, Leeds to name a few) We are very lucky. Thank you Vichai (Why am I sober? Am I the only one that is sober in Leicester today?)
ozleicester Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Proud to be a city fan, pleased to have Top and Vichai doing the right thing by my club - thanks
Biggus Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I hope the owners turn up onTuesday to do a lap of honour
GrahamCross Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I can only agree with all the plaudits already made to the owners. But when things get tough next year ,as they will, and all the detractors of the Pearson management set up come crawling back out of the woodwork.I hope they stand by the people that have acheived so much. Pearson has had four complete seasons in charge two promotions and two playoffs. We do not want some continental Management team brought in halfway through the season. Well done everyone.
foxfanazer Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Well said . I hope they stick with Nige next season and don't pull the trigger on him when the going gets tough for a bit.exactly this. Don't want us to be that club! They've done enough so far to convince me that they won't be hasty
Manjiro Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Agreed in full. They've managed to bind all facets of the club together perfectly. Top & Vichai: the Thais that bind.
Sir Shep Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I agree with all of the above, should wave some Thai flags around the whole of leicester all week now!
langtonfox Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Would love Top and Vichai to come onto pitch tuesday so we can show our thanks.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Well said . I hope they stick with Nige next season and don't pull the trigger on him when the going gets tough for a bit.Spot on, changing the Manager is not the way to go should we be struggling next season, we should be more concerned with hanging on to him next season, give him a long contract, he can be our Fergie.Oh edit, just realised I had not mentioned the owners which this thread is all about, they have been amazing, and have got their wish, Premier League football, and made the whole of Leicester happy ( bar the Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal fans etc who for some reason frequent our City) Well done the Thais.
Happy Fox Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Why are people questioning the owners judgement they don't deserve this!, if they decide to keep NP they will, if they don't they won't why are we to question their judgement?, obviously they won't discard NP because he has done an amazing job and even if we struggle they will keep him on because he has proven he has the experience and ability to build winning teams.
demon_dog Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Yes congratulations are in order. The owners clearly learnt their lesson to some considerable cost with Sven as manager. Now they are much wiser and as such have become much better owners. Clearly willing to back N.P. as he has acheived where others have failed. Onward and upward wo go ei ei oh.
Jace Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Been the best and wisest owners in professional football in England last couple of seasons let's hope they keep it up
cambridgefox Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I've had a night to sleep on it,and I have awoken to that empty feeling. Why? How dare the owners, management and players become such a solid efficient unit depriving us of a nail biting finish,a day out at Wembley and that sick feeling in the stomach.its not good enough, there is still 6 games to go pfffft ruin the fun why don't you. This whole season seems like a dream fantastic.
Stadt Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I can't see them going mental when August comes trying to change traditions and interfering like other meddling owners because they do seem so reserved, fortunately they almost are like fans.
Ric Flair Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I'm gonna smear myself in massaman paste and run on the pitch
