I think our midfield will be vital in this match, so i'd probably go with like a 3-2-3-1-1 formation.

GK: Kasper

CB: Wasilewski

CB: Morgan

CB: Moore

RWB: De Laet

LWB: Schlupp

CM: James

CM: Drinkwater

CM: Hammond

AM: Nugent

CF: Vardy

BENCH: Logan, Miquel, Konchesky, Knockaert, Mahrez, Taylor-Fletcher & Phillips.

No room for Dyer I'm afraid!

That formation's not even on Fifa.

Is there a general consensus that Wasilewski is a better option that Moore?

Not for me, but just interested in what people think. Both were poor on Tuesday

I think at the minute he is a better option. To be frank everyone was poor on Tuesday.

Wow, I'm glad he got through unscathed as that gif is great.

This is the team I expect to see our best f**King 11.

Kasper

De Laet

Morgan

Wasyl

Schlupp

Knockaert

Drinkwater

James

Mahrez

Vardy (if fit which I expect he may well be  :fc: )

Nugent

Subs: Wood, GTF, Logan, Moore, Konchesky, Hammond and Dyer.

Result 2-1 away win

Vardy and Nugent with our goals and McCleary with their consolation.

Agreed

I don't think a troll would have 5000+ posts...

Trolls post as long as they get the attention, 5k posts wouldn't be unheard of. At any rate it's a stupid formation - back to the team that beat burnleh for me.

3-2-3-1-1

Thank goodness for  :pearson:

We should certainly go back to our best available team which for me is:

Kasper

De Laet

Morgan

Wasyl

Schlupp

Knockaert

James

Drinkwater

Mahrez

Nugent

Vardy

Bench:

Conrad, King, Hammond, GTF, Dyer, Wood, Konchesky

CAM: Knockaert

CF: Taylor-Fletcher

ST: Wood

Maybe this is the sort of formation that Sven was looking for during his "zero width" period?

I'm sure that I remember him playing 6 central midfielders at one point!  lol

All your formations are shit.

I think we should play rush backs.

Wasilewski can block a few balls on the line with his face.

Ref Check

more on the ref ...

Simon Hooper is from Wiltshire.

He has refereed 32 games this season, and has dealt 117 yellow cards and five sendings off, above average I believe, so beware! His most difficult match has perhaps been Nottm Forest v Derby in the championship back in September when he dished out six yellows and a red. Worse, there has been NO game at all where he hasn't issued a single card, and only three matches with one card. Dissapointing reading ...

Reading has only won once with this ref blowing;

Aug 2009 Swansea 0 Reading 0 (championship) 7 yellows and one penalty
Dec 2009 Plymouth 4 Reading 1 (championship) 3 yellows
Nov 2010 Watford 1 Reading 1 (championship) 4 yellows
Jan 2011 Swansea 1 Reading 0 (championship) 4 yellows
Dec 2011 Reading 3 Brighton 0 (championship) 4 yellows
Mar 2012 Peterborough 3 Reading 1 (championship) No cards

Leicester's record with Hooper

Feb 2010 Bristol City 1 Leicester 1 (championship) 3 yellows
Dec 2011 Hull City 2 Leicester 1 (championship) 1 yellow, 1 red and 1 penalty
Feb 2012 Derby 0 Leicester 1 (championship) 3 yellows
Dec 2012 Millwall 1 Leicester 0 (championship) 5 yellows
Feb 2013 Blackpool 0 Leicester 0 (championship) 3 yellows and 1 penalty
Sept 2013 Leicester 2 Blackburn 1 (championship) 4 yellows and 2 penalties

He’s well-liked by Oxford, Crewe, Exeter (“not bad, not bad at allâ€), Shrewsbury (“a good ref, let the game flow and made good decisions, at last!!†/ “Good ref who used common sense.â€) and Walsall (“Almost perfect gameâ€). But disliked by Brentford and Plymouth. And he really got a lot of stick in a Man Utd – Liverpool game …

Here’s who you’ll be seeing:

More Ref Comments:

Unfortunately he’s not liked by a number of football managers, and I can include Malky Mackay (unhappy at a controversial decision in their 0-3 defeat at Ipswich) and Lawrie Sanchez (Barnet) in that list for being dismissed in his side’s game against Cheltenham in 2011 for remonstrating with the referee and was reported to the FA!

And this from a specialist ‘Referee’ web page in 2010:

“Statistically Simon Hooper is the referee most likely to show a red card (31% of his matches), Rob Shoebridge the least (5%). Hooper is also the most likely to give a penalty (48% of his matches)â€

Both Managers – are you giving the lads penalty practice on Monday???!

Hopefully James, De Laet & Schlupp won't be as pissed as they were on Tuesday and Nigel won't have to drop them from the squad, maybe Vardy back too......

Posted

Reckon Nige won't risk Vardy and go with Wood up top to start with. Can see Nuge having a bit of a stormer.

Its very important that we get the title before experimenting again with the starting XI. We missed a big opportunity Tuesday V Brighton to put a strong team out and get 3 more points on the board. I think personaly we will get a point at Reading to take us on to the 90 point mark before the QPR match. I would give Lloyd a start and bring Vardy on to the bench after injury. I think it may be time to move on from Kev Phillips now to be honest after his absent performance on Tuesday night, so no place for him in the 18 from me. Wood to start with Nugent up front.

Team:

Kasper

De Laet

Morgan

Waz

Schlupp

Dyer

James

Drinkwater

Knockaert

Wood

Nugent

Subs: Logan, Moore, King, Hammond, Marhez, Taylor-Flethcer, Vardy

Posted

Kasper

De Laet

Waysl

Big Wes

Schluup

Tony K

King

James

Dyer

Wood

Nugent

I think we will see a few changes in each of the last few games, as Pearson assess his squad ahead of next season. After going behind wary cone back for a 3-1 win Nugent bagging a double and a Waysl thunderbolt out of no where.

Hope Derby catch Burnley for the auto.

At the moment can't see anyone beating Brighton in the playoffs

I have a sneaky feeling we'll lose this one ya know..

2-1 to Reading..

On a seperate note, I always used to think the 'Reading Festival' (the Pop festival) was actually a 'Reading' Festival (ie where bookworms used to gather and discuss their favourite literature).

No lie...

:o
