Stadt Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Ipswich in recent times have sold Wickham and that's about it
StanSP Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Fvcking hell, QPR. That is horrendous. Really didn't realise it was that bad for them. Wigan have done surprisingly well - £6.5m for Arouna Kone wasn't it ::?!
yorkie1999 Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Wonder what the wage bill on top of that lot is.
katieakita Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Of course very big parachute payments not included
cc_star Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Never mind big spending or not, we've hemorrhaged money for years, losses then losses then more losses then came the really big losses on top with even bigger losses to pile on the past couple of seasons. What are we doing if we're not spending? Most clubs reach a point where they need to sell, turning down an income of a few million for Morgan & Schmeichel in the face of such losses shows just how much we're 'spending' away from transfer fees, then of course turning down an unknown amount for Vardy from Saints in Jan. Yes a club or two may have spent more but... cripes... It's a blind individual who can't see we're not living in any normal, sane world and we're spending hand over fist every single day. Hats off to any club who can balance their books & still achieve relative success
Unabomber Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Hats off to Burnley. Their chairman seems to be on his way to another big pay day.
katieakita Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Hats off to Burnley. £48 million parachute payment gotta help, Forest
MPH Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 At this rate, QPR are going to be the new Portsmouth...
Unabomber Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 At this rate, QPR are going to be the new Portsmouth... And Harry Redknapp is going to be the new Harry Redknapp.
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 So what's this mean for FFP? Isn't it just 2013/14 that's the important one? Top 7 have recieved more than spent! Suggesting these clubs are looking clean for abiding by FFP rules. *more to FFP than just in/outs but... Forest possibly looking at fines?
red5 Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 And Harry Redknapp is going to be the new Harry Redknapp. His dog seems to be doing ok
dsr-burnley Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Their chairman seems to be on his way to another big pay day. None of Burnley's directors get paid. Though one of them did make a killing on interest last time we went up to the Premier, having lent the club money on the basis of convert to shares if we don't go up, full repayment plus £2m interest if we do. Now do you see why Dyche keeps banging on about lack of funds?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Take some of those figures with a pinch of salt. For example, Forest sold Guedioura for £2m+ last August yet it says in three years they only recouped £230k. And we paid them £1m for Big Wes !!

This, Those statistics look to be plucked from thin air and mean absolutely nothing.
Dan Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Hang on hang on, according to that we only spend £3.8mil in 2011/12? It was closer to £12mil wasn't it?
pazzerfox Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Hang on hang on, according to that we only spend £3.8mil in 2011/12? It was closer to £12mil wasn't it? These figures are ridiculous. The start of our 2011 season, was the Sven era where he spent, Like Dan say's, it was at least £12 million. Then you have Nigel's spending, that probobly exceeds £10 mill, if you add up Wes, De Laet, Drinky, James, Marshall, Knockers, Vardy, Wood. Very poor article.
Fox92 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Dyche was right after all, our pound note team, I mean we spent the same as Burnley this season
