Jaspa Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 500,000+ average attendances for Celtic in the next 300 years
Dan Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Burnley have a ground that holds 112,000 hahahahaha that is amazing
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Burnley ended up as Market Leaders with many pound notes. Wow
Stadt Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 27 years in the Premier League in 1000 years we have a grand total of 4 league cups now though
EnderbyFox Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Sky Sports used the FM database to come up with potential Man Utd strikers this morning http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/9933143/man-utd-must-find-replacements-for-forwards-says-tony-cascarino
Richard Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Another 1000 years and we still don't win the FA cup
GLC Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 A youtuber plays FM15 with no knowledge of football at all. I love Nerd3, he uploads some really funny videos

FM's stats aren't spot on but they're not far off at all in my opinion.
RonnieTodger Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Doing a Celtic save. Lost 2-1 at home to Porto despite having 30 attempts on goal to their 7. Nice and easy group games against Dortmund and Liverpool though.

I think there's not much middle ground on fm attributes wise, they're either very accurate or its like they've got the stats mixed up.
ramboacdc Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 someone simmed for 1000 years to see what would happen. long story short...we have 3 trips to wembley to look forward to in the next millenium. https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/comments/3fioa1/the_millenial_sim_is_here_1000_years_of_simming/

Dan Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 you cant be serious Why? You think they pluck their stats out of thin air? I'm not saying they're particularly reliable but not exactly less than things like Squawka/WhoScored etc... there's blatantly a lot of research gone into them. There's no right or wrong way anyway.

They kind of do in some cases, I'm yet to see Babacar/Kadlec blitz any League theyre placed in. Its a game, they need to add gems just for the exitement, you can also tell how wrong they get iot from the stat changes from year to year, just look through previos games and you'll see they can be well off

Definitely wouldn't be the way I'd want to scout a player if I was at a club though.

They're usually well off, they get the top dogs well no doubt, Squawka and those sites do use real life stats. I do sympathise with your annoyance with those type of stats though being lauded about though and used as direct comparisons to be used on whether a player is good or not, it's the yank effect they want a percentage for everything.

I honestly don't think they are but I'll agree to disagree there. The percentages are often completely mis-leading. Too many people talk about percentages as if they're absolutely definitive despite the huge number of variables that come with them.
Stadt Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 What really pisses me off is when people compare the stats of players that play in different positions

FM's stats aren't spot on but they're not far off at all in my opinion.Nothing wrong with us looking at FM stats when it comes to unknown players but Sky Sports is a billion pound sports media organisation with thousands of journalists researchers, sources and links with ex-players and managers (including their foreign arms Sky Italia, Fox Sports etc.). They should be able to provide a deeper insight than just ripping numbers from a computer game. It's the kind of thing I'd expect from first4lcfc and the like.

Fox92 Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 After 6 years at Birmingham I got sacked (yeah, we got relegated from the PL). It was a struggle to the second half of the season, literally only won about three games. Took over the Fulham job three games in. Players are on ridiculous wages and I'm currently approx £200,000 over the wage budget. That'll be reduced when I reach January, I hate players on stupid wages. Drew my first game at QPR, gone on to beat Swansea, Watford and Leicester with Tottenham up next. Not a bad start.
Dan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Why on earth did Monaco list Bernardo Silva for £2.5mil? Mugs. He'll go on to be good enough for them. What a steal that is for me, in what's been a pretty crap start to my second season at Nantes. Draw specialists although I've got a nice run of games on the way.
Donut Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Has anyone ever done a good Borussia Dortmund game on here? Im coming up to the end of season 1 and its not been great. Ill get screenshots done later.
Dan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Had one on FM14 to try and get used to the game but it was quite like Klopp's final season. Never got them to click. I'm going to shout out to Bernardo Silva yet again. Two and a half million lol
Ed25 Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I think FM15 is the easiest of them all as Leicester boss. Its 2020 in my current save and I have won everything (including the Champions League)
