broughtonblue Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 So Peter smichael is introduced on soccer am this morning, with the following question... It's been a massive week of news I bet your phone hasn't stopped ringing, what do you think of the David moyes thing? To which Peter replied.. Oh I thought with the 'massive' news, the question was going to be related to leicester winning the title! Haha brilliant
Fox42 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I hate how the United saga had to collide with our title clinging moment. Couldn't have picked a better time...
Foxhateram Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Peter schmichael is a blue, is a blue, is a blue...
davieG Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Lots of complaints to the BBC over how they spent the first 6 minutes of the news reporting on Moyes demise. You'd think that not only were they the only club in the country but the only business to sack their manager for poor results considering the BBCs excuse was they were a listed company not that any of the reporting related to the business side of the club. I've already seen more Giggs in the news than I did through out his playing career.
ElusiveEd Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 TalkSport have been the worse for this. I know they are a "Sports" station but I swear I am going to count the amount of times they mention Man U (especially) Arsenal and Chelsea. Just how much juice can you get from squeezing a story to death? Every show and every presenter doing the same story for the last 3 days, asking the same questions about the same issue about the same club. We just get a mention in passing or a quickie on the news bulletin. Leicester hardly got a look in for their "Massive achievement" except for local news, so well done Peter for coming back with such a retort.
MC Prussian Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The BBC's part-move to Salford has made things turn a bit for the worse, I think. I appreciate their presence up North, but it's all a bit too much "Manchester this, Manchester that" for my liking, e.g. with a touch of a local bias.

Tielemans63 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Lots of complaints to the BBC over how they spent the first 6 minutes of the news reporting on Moyes demise. This on the same day that 230 school kids were abducted from a school in Nigeria - that didn't even get a mention until 48 hours after it happened. I love my footy but a bit of perspective wouldn't go amiss.
crisp monster Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Unlike some on here, 'I'm not anti Man U but this weeks national mourning has got right on my tits. They kept going over the same stuff on Tuesday and gave us about 25 seconds on the news.
lgfualol Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I thought it was silly that two disasters (south korean ferry and Malaysian plane) and Ukraine came AFTER a report on Man United.
StanSP Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I'm surprised it made on to the actual 'news' section and not just sports sections at 10pm on BBC earlier in the week. And like others have said, above in the pecking order over actual news. Pathetic.

Well I wasn't but I'm fast becoming anti, you could say it's the media's fault but ManU, Giggs and every ex man u player they've interviewed, with nothing to add but speculation could have had the good grace to tell them to bugger off and ask them about what they are currently doing.
LCFC Rennie Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Hahahahah he's supporting the #JusticeForKasper campaign.
Saxondale Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The BBC's part-move to Salford has made things turn a bit for the worse, I think. I appreciate their presence up North, but it's all a bit too much "Manchester this, Manchester that" for my liking, e.g. with a touch of a local bias. It's absolutely insufferable. Every general feature and vox pop is full of Mancs. I understand that the old BBC was accused of being massively London-centric but, if its content is going to be biased towards a single place, it might as well be the nation's capital rather than a town in the North.
broughtonblue Posted 26 April 2014 Author Posted 26 April 2014 Riyad on the show boat!Twice!!! Glad they showed his little drag back, looked good on the night but first time I've seen it since
Unabomber Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Twice!!! Glad they showed his little drag back, looked good on the night but first time I've seen it since I had wanted to see that again, couldn't believe it when he did it at the time.
