Voll Blau Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 God knows why people are getting the arse about a few going on the pitch. Yeah, the FA are really going to reduce our allocation because some people wanted to have their photo taken with Nigel Pearson on a bit of grass in Yorkshire. If we start trashing concourses and kicking over bins while wearing black jackets like Man United I'll consider sharing your concern.
Babylon Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Pretty sure they would rather have been rewarded with game time when there was still something to play for. It was a missed opportunity to learn something about some of our players in my eyes. Not knocking the performance of any of them, that was just my opinion on seeing the line up. I'd imagine one meaningless game against Huddersfield isn't going to teach him that much more than he already knows having worked with most of them for a year if not more.
Fox Ulike Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Dyer will be in the squad but will definitely start less. We've used 28 players - same as Reading & Ipswich. Burnley have used the least (25). Yeah agreed re Dyer. He'll have his part to play. Weve had around 19 significant players i mean, all of whom (apart from Phillips) i expect to be in our 25 man prem squad. Im not counting one game wonders like St ledger and whitbred.
LCCFox96 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Another good win today. Agree with people on GTF's finish. Looked very good. 1 more point till triple figures - can't wait for next weekend now. Also think it has been good to get promotion and to a certain extent the title tied up early as it has allowed us to expirment with these new formations most of which have worked well imo.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 What this thread needs is another hilariously original remark about GTF's weight.
Bettsj2 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Not denying it was a good performance, but we are still a work in progress and if Wood, for example, is going to be a part of our squad next season he needs to form an understanding with Nugent, Knocky, Mahrez, Drinkwater, not GTF, Hammond and King. That is how we can use Huddersfield away to prepare for the prem develop partnerships and understandings across the pitch, Moore and Morgan, King and James as a midfield 2, Wood and Nugent playing together up top with Mahrez and Knocky providing the ammunition, or Moore as an anchoring right back not going forward like RDL and giving Knocky or Mahrez free rein on the right, the opposition was poor and the three points largely irrelevant, you can also work on set pieces, taking and defending them, but that only works if you have the players that will be playing next season on the pitch, or you could play some younger players like Cain, Harry P and Hopper. This is more or less a friendly, NP did not pick that team to ensure we won the game, we don't need to give any players a rest, the performance and the points are largely irrelevant because I don't think we learnt anything from the game, apart from maybe Miquel is worth a punt in the Summer, but the quality of the opposition hinders that. At this point, Pearson really doesnt need to learn anything about any of the players that are currently here. All that happened today was game time for people who havent had much of it recently. Unless people hadnt noticed, whatever team containing whatever players, playing whatever formation has been put out this season, has been more than competitive. I'm shocked after all that has been achieved this season with 1 game left, there are still some who cannot help themselves but to critisise.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Cracking game and atmosphere, thought we we were really good. Hammond, GTF, Miquel all came in and did a great job.And the earlier video if the pitch invasion Pearson was in the middle of that, jumping about and hugging everyone
whoareyaaa Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 What was Gary Johnson doing there in a quadxl away shirt shaking Nigel's hand after the game? Love how Conrad just turns up in his flipflops don't even bother wearing his boots.
Unabomber Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Love how Conrad just turns up in his flipflops don't even bother wearing his boots. Good to see he was dressed appropriately should Kasper get injured
MrSpaM Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Nige actually waded through a sea of our fans just to clap the crowd, got completely swamped after that great scenes at the end
veezeeblue Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 any videos of the meet n greets on the pitch afterwards ? looked great on the stream
fuchsntf Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Gaz's finish was exquisite. Enjoy those 10 pints of best and that kebab tonight Gaz, you've earned them. It seems you're getting s bit 2 faced of late, but a you now have a good head on your shoulders. So unabomber blows knocky away.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 And just to add, read through first few pages of the match thread after getting back. Christ I can't believe dullards still doubt Pearson's team selection. The players that came in did a great job, especially GTF, Deano & Miquel. So maybe keep your terrible opinions on football to yourself eh?
fox123 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Love how Conrad just turns up in his flipflops don't even bother wearing his boots. I was thinking he'd just got out the shower. The only balls he'll see this season.
rmahrez Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Went today. Shook Pearson's hand on the pitch, I didn't see anything not done in good spirit. Comfortable if not dominant victory
lee7 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 It makes me laugh! Our 30th win of the season and another 3 points closer to the 100 mark yet the first thing our fans do is moan about fans at the game who invaded the pitch, pathetic! People really need to lighten up, another good result away from home and by the sound of things we were never really troubled. Good team performance infront of nearly 4000 traveling fans, I personally could not ask for much more. On to Doncaster now for the end of season party 🎉
oohaahmustafa Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 yo wee bey Cheese fries baby, i got you some!
Weller in Tights Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 It's away. Its not a game with a crucial goal or result. Its not the game that secured promotion. Its not the game that secured the title. Its not spontaneous. Its try-hard and tinpot. I really dont get it. Pitch invasions should happen in moments such as Watford last season. Not be half arsed like this. Shut up you miserable git.
Happy Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 We were very comfortable, we were in 4th gear and cruised to victory, I never felt more like singing the Blues when Leicester win and Forest always f**king lose.

On to Doncaster now for the end of season party I see what you're saying, but it's the first thing that happened after the full-time whistle went, so people are bound to talk about something that is happening in the present. I'm sure they're just as delighted at the approaching milestone and the victory they just saw obviously!
Weller in Tights Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Lots of families on the pitch, enjoying the moment, taking photos in front of the Leicester end, all good humoured.A few real old miserable gits on here.A wonderful season, one of my favourites in my 53 years.Well done City and well done to our supporters.
