broughtonblue Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Anybody see his interview on motd? Let a fan sit in his seat in the dugout today, motd interviewer asked him why, his reply was he's sat behind me in the stands all season telling me what to do so I thought id give him the chance to manage. Interviewer asked him if the fan had a chance of taking the managers job (which tim still has 12 month contract), to which sherwood replied 'no he's English' brilliant
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 By trying to act like he's no media darling he's become the biggest media darling going.
Poznan34 Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Was he ever a long term contender for the Spurs job? He may aswell say it as it is if he was just going to be there for 6 months.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 11 May 2014 Posted 11 May 2014 Good job it wasn't Jeremy Clarkson saying that, the Mirror would be up in arms
Fox92 Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Was funny to see. Glad he actually did that. He's done a good job there in my opinion. Don't get all the hate for him.
Guest MattP Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 He's came across far better in the last few weeks. Not done a bad job at all when you look at his reign statistically.
foxfanazer Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Got nothing against the guy but he does come across as quite an angry man. I did lile what he did yesterday though
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 He's chosen to make himself into some kind of Holloway-esque figure who's great for a funny quote and says what the fans want to hear. Rather strange seeing as there's a glass ceiling for those type of managers as they're never respected enough to get top jobs. He's got a bit carried away with the position he's found himself in.

This moaning about British/ English coaches never getting a chance is boring now, and Sherwood should count himself very lucky that his first management job is at the fifth best team in country on last season.
Babylon Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Why does everyone actually hate him? He wears a Gillet... oh and he's a prize pr*ck.
Aus Fox Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Sherwood had the best games to wins ratio in spurs history. Crazy
Babylon Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Sherwood had the best games to wins ratio in spurs history. Crazy Actually I think the fan who took charge against Villa does. If he'd not lose the plot a few times he might have got himself a job there.
Haydos Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 What the fvck? Managers constantly get berated for being bland, bullshitting, giving cliched answers and the first time an honest one comes along who doesn't seem to take any shit he gets the piss taken out of him? This is why the majority of fans are hypocritical dickheads. He's done an alright job and he's been a bit naive in some of the things he's said but doing this with the fan is hilarious. If Mou had done it you'd all be lapping it up. Pathetic.

Haydos Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 I agree to a point, its just a shame he is so unlikeable. I'm not that quick to judge. He's had the media against him since day one and we get to see snippets of interviews from him. He's been dour which has made him come across as a bit of a knob but the way he's handled this has been fine and pretty funny. If everyone gets off his back and he was offered the job I reckon he'd seem more likeable.

Stadt Posted 12 May 2014 Posted 12 May 2014 Sherwood started his job by spouting nonsense and making it out like the job was his permanently and blamed the players for losing so heavily.
