jock2612 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 It may be just me BUT is anyone else worried that there is no talk, not even in the LM, about NP and his contract.I would have expected this to be the first as i assume players we are after are his targets.
KFS Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 They've probably had deals set out for a long time now. Don't worry.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 They've probably had deals set out for a long time now. Don't worry. Yeah deals all set up... at West Brom.
Agent Fox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Do you think Nigel Pearson is going to leave us? Do you think the owners are going to get rid of him? No. Chill, his contract doesn't finish for another couple of weeks.

No. Chill, his contract doesn't finish for another couple of weeks. At that point he's no longer ours and anyone can speak to him & he's no more ours than he is theirs, if they haven't been already. Pretty sure it will be sorted, but FFS! We need this to fall into line for everything else to be able to
Matt Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 It's because of his health problems, all talks are on hold, he may have to walk away
Haydos Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 He should consult with FT before making any decisions. Absolutely bemused as to why he hasn't been in touch yet.
ozleicester Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 there is a reason that Utd are delaying appointing van Gaal!
MPH Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Doubt Kasper would sign up for four more years if big Nige was about to leave....
Xen Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'd wager that they've already signed contracts and just havent said anything yet.
MPH Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'd wager that they've already signed contracts and just havent said anything yet. It was probably discussed and agreed in Thailand. Coincidently, Kasper signs hhis at the same time too...
bluebeau Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 IMO NP would want to sort out the players contracts before his own. I think it's a foregone conclusion that he is getting a new & improved contract. The Chairman has as good as said this to the media. NP will not be going anywhere except up the Premier League with City!!!

Most likely, but as it stands & unless there's some movement he will be nothing to do with us in a fortnight
LanguedocFox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Pearson has been saying for months that it's not an issue for him. I assume that's because he's been told what will happen, with X if we had to spend another season in the Championship and X+50% (or whatever) if we get promoted. It's fairly clear when you see those vids of him with Vichai and Top that he is very much at ease with them. He isn't going anywhere except the Prem with City.
Ric Flair Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Has his contract expired yet, is he essentially working for us for free at the minute? Free lance Nigel
LcFc_Smiv Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 I love it when we don't have to worry about our football on foxestalk, we worry about other non-issues instead!
Mack Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 Pearson has taken time to build his own team, and has been rewarded with a stunning season. Why would he want to leave and go and start all over again fixing someone else's mess?
wight88 Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 The owners are waiting for him to support the proposed kit change to red as they want his photo on all the PR material
gerrytaggart Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 Nige is in the process of writing his own contract for the chairman to sign.
Vlad the Fox Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 We need him on a length of contract that sees us past the euro's in two years time so that when the F.A come calling we can demand an hefty compensation package should he wish to go.
Rob1742 Posted 19 May 2014 Posted 19 May 2014 Contracts will be sorted I am pretty certain of that. The issue for me is is Craig Shakespeare was to want to try his hand at management. NP did mention it last season that they have discussed it between them, and if he goes it could upset the balance. The whole management team is important, with Little, Gregory and Evans being a great example. We then had O'Neill, Robertson and Walford. Both of these set ups suffered when one of them left, highlighting the importance of a good set up of different personalities and skill sets. So for me, when NP mentioned that one day Shakespeare may want to realise his ambitions, a little alarm bell went off.

I am sure NP would love to keep Shakey here but if he wants to manage you cannot stop his ambitions good luck to him I say. I am sure NP would have someone he would bring in if Shakey left nothing to worry about.

Absolutely, i'd just hope to dear god that Nigel could somehow persuade Chris Powell to come and do a few years back as No.2
Silverdaz Posted 19 May 2014 Posted 19 May 2014 Ive heard he is going to quit for health reasons and Chris Hughton be our new manager
