City's Internationals

Recommended Posts

Leicester City have again had a healthy representation at international level with eight players in action so far this week.

Midfielder Andy King played a full match for Wales in their 0-0 draw against Bosnia and Hercegovina in Group B of the 2016 European Championship qualifiers.

Tom Lawrence, meanwhile, is still yet to earn his first cap for Chris Coleman’s men and remained an unused substitute on Friday in Cardiff – the Welsh play Cyprus on Monday in their next group game.

Elsewhere, Harry Panayiotou capped his debut at full international level with a goal for St Kitts and Nevis in their 3-2 loss to Barbados in the Carribean Football Union Cup in Haiti on Wednesday.

The Development Squad forward also played against French Guiana in the Sugar Boys' 2-1 win on Friday.

And fellow Under-21s striker Simonas Stankevicius was an unused substitute in Lithuania’s 1-0 win over 10-man Estonia in Vilnius on Thursday in their European Championship qualifying group and now sit second only to Roy Hodgson’s England after two wins in two games.

Centre-half Liam Moore, who has started every Barclays Premier League game this season, again helped England’s Under-21s to victory, playing 90 minutes in their 2-1 European Championship play-off qualifier against Croatia on Friday at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux stadium.

And Foxes captain Wes Morgan represented Jamaica on Friday when the Reggae Boyz lost 1-0 to Japan with an own goal from Nyron Nosworthy proving to be the only difference between the two sides.

Academy product Ben Chilwell has been impressing this season at both Under-18 and Under-21 level for City and was rewarded with another England call up at Under-19 level.

The left back played a full game for Sean O’Driscoll’s men in their 3-0 European Championship qualifier win over Belarus in Luxembourg and faces Luxembourg on Sunday in his next outing.

Foxes in action on Saturday include shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel, who will look to help his side to a win over Albania in the Euro 2016 Group I qualifier.

Winger Jeffrey Schlupp will hope to take to the field for Ghana against Guinea in the African Cup of Nations where his side are joint-top of Group E with Uganda.

Over in Group B, Riyad Mahrez aims for another Algerian cap when his country face Malawi, with his side looking to continue their 100% start to the campaign.

And Alie Sesay will look to make a first international appearance after being called up by Sierra Leone for their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Cameroon.

St Kitts & Nevis - the sugar boys lol lol

That looks a lot worse than it is IMO.

Shame with Panayiotou. Thought he might have been decent but seems he's lost hope opting for them at his age.

Exactly, its one of those were scuffing it was actually better than getting hold of it  lol

Anyone know when Jeff, Mahrez and Wes are back from international duty?

Jeff and Riyad looked off the pace after the last break due to coming back late.

Mahrez and jeff have a game Wednesday so Thursday perhaps.

Edit.

Just noticed Schmeichel will probably be in goal vs Portugal. Ouch.

At least all African games on Wednesday so it will mean Papisse Cisse and Tiote are playing on the same day.

Portugal are dog wank though, you've literally got one player to worry about in their forward line (admittidly. he's quite good, but often doesn't look half as good for Portugal) and half decent midfielder, that is it.
