foxfanazer Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 yep, gonna have some right ***** there next season. Henry Hill. He's a good fella
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Sports Tonight Live @SportsTonightTV 21m Leicester City look set to beat QPR to the signing of Troy Deeney. Well if that's true Old Man Steptoe and Asterix have really turned things round. Any idea of a fee? Morgan, James, De Laet, Vardy, King 5 Mllion plus add on's sounds about right?
65RosesFox Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 qpr also linked with valbuena.. wtf.. altho deeney has qualities id rather us not spend around 8m on him.. id rather try for someone like chris martin at Derby. . be around 4 or 5m.. scores goals.. good in the air.. strong etc or offer danny graham a 1yr deal.. someone who'd be happy t be a squad player because id imagine deeneys ego cud be too much for us and wen he realises hes not in the starting 11 he seems the kind to kick off GTF is a better player than Danny Graham and is more of a goal threat. The guy is awful.
Finnegan Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 GTF is a better player than Danny Graham and is more of a goal threat. The guy is awful. ...
iamafox Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 We're set to miss out on Deeney according to the Merc. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Harry-Redknapp-confirms-QPR-talks-Leicester-City/story-21948092-detail/story.html
artursteppe Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 We're set to miss out on Deeney according to the Merc. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Harry-Redknapp-confirms-QPR-talks-Leicester-City/story-21948092-detail/story.html All those quotes from 'arry were around a couple of days ago. Merc running a bit late on news. Changes nothing really, QPR ain't got him yet, but maybe Nigel has had enough anyway.
Bamba's Babes Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Nigel said nothing imminent yesterday on the radio. He also said we wouldn't have heard of our targets...
FreeFox Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Hopefully this doesn't happen. Like Ulloa, he's being well over-valued for what he's done so far in his career.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Sick of hearing about 'Arry and his friggin QPR - seems he's shadowing NP's transfer targets. Sounds like a p*ssing contest to me - my chairman's got more dosh than you. Hope he has 'Arry with your wage bill - good luck with yer big time charlies mate and the lovely smell of Clive Christian cologne in the dressing room - bottom 6 this season for you IMO. Bottom six, maybe, but they will end up higher than us I think.

Babylon Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Please Please let this be true Yeah... lets buy someone the management rate less than him. YAY!
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Yeah... lets buy someone the management rate less than him. YAY! Yay indeed, sounds like a plan to me when compared to paying another obscene figure for another unproven striker.
Babylon Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Yay indeed, sounds like a plan to me when compared to paying another obscene figure for another unproven striker. I'd rather have someone the management actually rate. Where are all these brilliant strikers that are proven and only cost under £8m?
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 I'd rather have someone the management actually rate. Where are all these brilliant strikers that are proven and only cost under £8m? If it's Troy Deeney, I wouldn't Without even thinking about it Lambert went for four million. EDIT: Oh, and Fraizer Campbell, less than a million. EDIT EDIT: Bojan Krikic or however you spell his silly name, 3 Million
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Bottom six, maybe, but they will end up higher than us I think. Considering we proved how superior we were last season they'll need a to do a lot more and better business than they've done so far to overtake our squad from last season, let alone including the additions we've made.

Sadly it doesn't work like that.
marko Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Would rather we got Deeney than Ulloa personally. No can do - apparently Nigel has lost the receipt.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 So they will be better and finish higher than us because? They had to fluke a play-off win to get to the Prem, we broke 100 points and were comfortably a better side. If Loic Remy stays then fair enough, but can't see that happening, even if he does, they went down with him in the side, everything else they have isn't as good as what we have collectively, bunch of mercenaries.
Babylon Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 If it's Troy Deeney, I wouldn't Without even thinking about it Lambert went for four million. EDIT: Oh, and Fraizer Campbell, less than a million. EDIT EDIT: Bojan Krikic or however you spell his silly name, 3 Million Lambert - Wouldn't have come here, and is 32 which means virtually zero sell on value. Fraizer Campbell - Cheap fee, but what did he want in wages etc? If we decided not to bow to his demands and buy someone else instead that probably tells you all you need to know. Oh and 6/7 goals in the premier over one full season isn't really proven. Bojan - The man who scored less in La Liga playing for Barcelona that Ulloa did for a relegated team... whom you don't like. And has struggled to get goals almost everywhere he's been. A "name" maybe, but that means big wages with little to back up that value.
Babylon Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Sadly it doesn't work like that. But it's something measurable, unlike a gut feeling or whatever else people are using.
