Loic Remy

This is interesting: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/loic-remy-deal-liverpool-fc-7515432 and in particular the comment that "Liverpool FC have refused to comment on why the deal won't be completed but it is believed to be related to a problem with his medical."

Those of us of a certain age will recall that in 1972, Liverpool pulled out of another summer transfer because of problems with a player's medical. The player was Frank Worthington and everyone thought we were mugs for picking up damaged goods on the cheap. Not saying Remy is in the same league, but he'd be quite a catch, and you never know - history might repeat itself.

Why on earth would he even move to us when he has the high wage and place at QPR, he's far too good enough for us and too high of a wage differential.

He's a class player though, can see Nuke going in for him now

Players of that class a possibility if we give a good account of ourselves this season

But no way will players like that come until we've established ourselves a bit better, although money talks... But Pearson's success isn't from signing players who play for a paycheque alone, but actually play for each other too

Have a word with yourself

Wouldn't want him anyway. Firstly, he just wants £££ and secondly first sign of trouble and he'll be wanting to leave.

Sums him up when he rejects Newcastle for QPR, then once QPR are relegated, wants to leave so he joins Newcastle on loan.

Nigel wouldn't want him, and rightly so.

The only reason he was available to Liverpool for that fee was because they are playing champions league football. Clause in his contract apparently. Not coming here!

Nice gif

In all seriousness, this raises questions about our tactical 30k max wage bill.

Remy wouldn't come here anyway, but if we had the 90k for his wages, the way our club has been styled would suggest a huge wage class difference.

Have I missed something or is there absolutely no source linking us with Remy? Why would we put a thread on here about a player Liverpool haven't signed? Hull have pulled out of a deal to sign Harry Maguire, should we set a thread up for that as well? There are many reasons why we would not sign Remy so this thread is just stupid!
