Miltonfox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I Am sorry if anyone has posted this again... couldnt see it... but well good luck to the lad..... despite his 1 in 1 record (against andorra) I do hope we are not seeing a rooney nugent partnership in the Euro's... He does make me laugh! http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/leicester-city/news/nugent-sets-sight-on-england-recall_170933.html
AKCJ Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Rickie Lambert did it. I say good luck to him. That's a great attitude to take to the PL IMO.
Devonfox1884 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 It's great that he has that kind of attitude, good luck to him.
Fox92 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 It's up to him now. We're in the top flight, he's a Premier League player, so if he scores the goals for us then he'll be (should be) recognized. He's just seen players like Rodriguez and Lambert do it, so why not?
Brooksy Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 If he plays well and scores 15 goals next season then why not?
benpicko Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I can see him doing brilliantly this season with a squad of players that he enjoys playing with and he's not exactly slowed down has he, always seems hard working and as though he genuinely loves this club
Stadt Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 As much as I'd like it to happen it most likely won't because he goes through too many barren spells to get a very high goal return.
MooseBreath Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Great ambition. He'll need to be on the form of his life, but it's by no means impossible for him to achieve.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 If he plays the supporting role like he did last year, he won't. If he plays as an Advanced Forward, he will.
Mack Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Why not? Drinkwater will be another one to make his mark for me.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Why not? He's better or as good as half the other fcukwits gracing our national side
filbertway Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Everything I read from Nuge this pre-season tells me he is massively up for this challenge. He definitely wants to prove the doubters wrong after his last spell in the prem. It's not just the usual "It'll be great for me and the lads to test ourselves against the best". Good luck Nuge!
LEI.CES.TER Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 He has a point to prove now he's back and nice to see him setting hard targets! Good Luck Nuge! COYB!
benpicko Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Why not? He's better or as good as half the other fcukwits gracing our national side For example?
Fosse93 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Highly doubt this will happen but good luck to him.
65RosesFox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 i would personally say Vardy has a better chance than Nugent based on last season as Vardy has something not many English strikers have... pace. But if we have just a good a season as Southampton did last season who's to say the likes of DD James Vardy Nugent Moore are not all in contention. sounds way off now but I'm sure no one expected Lallana, Shaw, Lambert & Rodriguez (if fit) would've been on the plane for Brazil at the beginning of last seaosn.
Dan Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 You'd think it was a no brainer he's in the squad really, he is an #EnglandLedgund after all ! ! !! #banters
Jace Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Good luck to him although personally I think Jamie Vardy will have just as much of a chance!
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Talking about this today at work, and I know we may all be biased, but look at it realistically, out of Welbeck, Lambert and Nugent, who is stand out? none really, they are all i think at a similar level, the only difference is ambition and the club they play for, huge now though seems to have bucked his ideas up and want to make a big impact, and fair play to him!at the end of the day, players like Sturridge need a supporting striker, i know Nuge is no Suarez, but its the sort of thing we need, and its what huge can do, he's a clever footballer. Best of luck to him!
