Thracian Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 He made his assist look simple because he'd figured the pass about 10 minutes before the ball arrived and just needed one touch to deliver the pass to Shinji perfectly. Ten/10 for Shinji persistence mind. His first shot was embarrassing but he was first to move for the follow up and got reward for his determination. Kingy was up and down first half but with the confidence of his assist he was everywhere, blocking shots, winning possession, blocking avenues, tracking runners, winning free-kicks and almost creating the chance for Dyer to net a winner but for a close offside. He also had a blocked chip from distance and a very minor part in Wasyl's goal by taking a man away from the back post - DeLaet took a man off the near post and it all left space for Wasyl's header to be unchallenged and into a vacant net. So one of, if not our best player today and helped us back into goalscoring mode in what was a scintillating overall effort by a team of kids and occasionals. Attitude-wise full-marks to almost everyone.

Quite simply, he is on his way to becoming a city legend, (unlikely in the modern game but) I really hope he stays with us for his whole career. Not just a quality player, but has been an outstanding professional and club representative. Long live the King
