And we lost at home to a League 2 side last night, relegation is all but confirmed.

How old are you mate?

Oh and see the Wigan fans view on JM before writing him off...or better still actually wait until he's played for us before you decide hes not good enough.

Is he quality though? Hardly stood out in the Champ last season, nobody came in for him this summer, he doesn't even get in their side every week, and we're about to pay 7 million for him.

We struggled against him in the away game when we nicked that 2-2 draw. He was always quality when I saw Wigan on TV last year.

That seems to have been our summer recruitment strategy.

Looks good with both feet as well somewhat of a rarity these days.

Twenty-something. Admittedly it's not solely last night. The fixture list giving us a cruel start, our manager's refusal to stick to a strategy that has served us well in the market and our medical department's inability to remedy the most minor of injuries means we are already in a losing habit, with another superior club at the weekend. It's going to be very difficult to turn it around now. So although not the sole reason, last night was very costly indeed.

Didn't say he's not good enough to be given a punt (although he won't get in our side if DD or MJ ever get back from injury), but he's certainly not any improvement on what we have already.

'Boo-boy slayer' and you have an opinion like that? Blimey we're in trouble.

Are you like the most negative Leicester City fan in the World, or do you just have something against the man that guided us to the Premier League for the first time in ten years?

I'm disappointed in our recruitment. How else do you explain the signings of Upson and Hamer other than they were free and they performed well against us? And Ulloa to some extent at the price we paid.

We've heard great things about our scouting system but all we've done is sign up freebies or paid over the odds for championship players, they've failed to deliver. I'm up for a nice suprise though in the coming week to suggest otherwise.

Last night hit me very hard.

You should have just not listened to it/not watched it like me, you'd have a better sense of perspective.

I know it's only a 4 minute YouTube clip, but he looks even better than I realised. Some great moves in there

Really?!   That's probably the worst Youtube clip I've ever seen.

Probably the best player on the field when we played them at the DW last year, played like a Premier League midfielder.

What's people moaning about? We have got : Upson , Albrighton , Hamer , Ulloa , Mcarthur (If he signs) and Cambiasso (if he signs) for £13M!! That's pretty good business in my eyes.

Yes, we lost to Shrewsbury last night and I agree that this could instigate a run of poor form but to completely right off the season based on that is silly.

Last night dented my confidence a bit but not to the point where I'm so certain we will get relegated. Most of the players on the pitch last night won't get a sniff of it on Sunday.

If we did go on a bad run it leaves us with plenty of time to turn things around. After all I'd rather start badly and end well then start well and end badly, and based on our fixture list I think that would be the best case scenario.

Upson was Brighton's player of the year last season, has proven Premier league experience, as well as a former International.  Hamer is a number 2 and our backup goalkeeper, who will inevitably improve through watching Kasper. It is difficult to get a quality goalkeeper who is willing to sit on the bench and actually be a number 2.  Ulloa has scored 1 goal in 2 Premier league games and was at times unplayable last season, if you ask for a Brighton fans perspective.

Jesus! Get a fvcking grip, man! Sod the league cup. We were clearly not taking it seriously. We've played very well against two of the country's top five clubs, with several of our key players out injured, and new signings yet to arrive.

I'm feeling pretty bloody good about this season.

What is up with you the past 24 hrs?

I expected negativity, but not from you..

Blimey!

Personally, I'm chuffed with this signing. We needed it and he's quite a cultured player. Let's give him a chance and see how he fits into our team.
