SuffolkPunch Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Looks like you've now bid above the £8m. Unfortunately, I think we will find it hard not to accept that.

st albans fox Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Thing is we didn't bid 8 million in the first placeMaybe the terms of his contract at Ipswich are now clearer which make a the amount required just to clear his contract also higher. Also, that amount will only be payable under certain circumstances - goals scored, appearances and us staying up.

Happy Fox Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Leicester bid £5million for Ipswich striker David McGoldrick - Palace interested too We've heard some crazy money going for Championship strikers this summer, and here's the latest. Is David McGoldrick worth £7million?! Laurie Whitwell has more: 'David McGoldrick is one to watch today. I’m told Leicester have bid £5million for the Ipswich striker, while Crystal Palace have also joined in the hunt. 'Mick McCarthy admitted McGoldrick is close to a transfer after leaving him out of the 1-1 draw at Derby County on Saturday saying: "A Premier League club comes in for you and you can go back home and live in your own house, with more money, it would distract me as well.’" 'Nigel Pearson wants to boost his striker options after missing out on Fraizer Campbell and Troy Deeney this summer, while Neil Warnock has said he wants four players today. 'Ipswich are believed to want £7m for the 26-year-old, who scored 16 goals in 34 games last season – such is the premium on English-based players – but a deal for £6m plus add-ons could be struck.' Top-flight bound? David McGoldrick is being lined up for a Premier League moveRead more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2739246/Transfer-News-DEADLINE-DAY-LIVE-Follow-deals-rumours-drama-unfolds.html#ixzz3C3EgGl2j Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Rob Tanner - McGoldrick and N'Doye look extremely unlikely to be joining LCFC today. City chasing alternative targets. #deadlineday

Babylon Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Best news I've heard today. Thank you Just wondering if you said the same about Ulloa like everyone else seemed to at the time. The lack of faith in our scouting network never fails to amaze me.

jimmeh Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 The same David Nugent who today ran himself into the ground and chased virtually everything as well as linking up play and helping our midfield immeasurably? That one? The same Nugent that rarely scores a goal. Yeah

jimmeh Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Nugent is poor at this level when is everyone going to wake up and realise. Maybe after 10 games when he still has zero goals.
65RosesFox Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Oh right didn't know we still play in championship. but all of our strikers except Ulloa were with us in Championship too. and Ulloa was from the Championship as well. All with us for the last two seasons in the Championship as well where Nugent outscored them both times. and along with being top scorer, he gets a hell of a lot of assists as well. Harry - LCFC Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Nugent is poor at this level when is everyone going to wake up and realise. Maybe after 10 games when he still has zero goals. Nugent looks bad because he hasn't matched Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton like the rest of the team. That's all it is. You forget that most promoted teams would perform poorly against the clubs we've played, if we did what most did all our players would look average. Would you then conclude that we need a new squad? Ulloa and Vardy are good enough for the step up. Nugent lacks the pace/skill for the prem. Not getting involved in the debate anymore but in my opinion Nugent won't score 5 goals all season.
