Guest Bilo Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Was this our greatest ever top flight game in the Premier League era? We've had some corkers, but this was up there. Incredible stuff.
shen Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Biggest result we've pulled off in a single game, possibly. Amazing comeback, helped on by a cheap peno. The quality of the footie means it beats the 3-3 vs Arsenal for me, which is largely remembered for Bergkamp and the unlikeliest of comebacks in added time, and not for the overall entertainment I'd say.
Strokes Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Derby for me but there isnt much between any of them.
Bryn Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 In terms of excitement surely. I think there are probably more complete performances than todays, against Sunderland we looked a complete team but this was something else.
ousefox Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I've been to a classic!!! Finally. I've been to a classic!!! Finally.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 It will be one of those games that's replayed for a few years yet as one of those classic epl games they always show.
AKCJ Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I remember being in the home end for the Derby game. We started off like a house on fire and he put his arm over my shoulders and whispered "we'll get punched if we celebrate". Heskey scored and he went ****ing berserk There are some games that will stay with you for the rest of your life and today's was one.
Matt Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 It was Leicester 5-2 Sunderland but today it has been replaced.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Even better than the comeback against Arsenal...because today we won Best game? Yep probably
weller54 Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Definitely right up there with the best performance EVER!!!...
Carl the Llama Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I'm tempted to say the Arsenal match edges it because that was a legendary Arsenal team whereas this United team lets admit it is a bit shit. Edit: Then again, it's difficult to argue with our Gary.

A bit shit? We were being torn apart for about an hour by one of the scariest looking forward lines in the world. Falcao, Di Maria, Rooney, RVP all proven great players at the top level. They've obviously not gelled yet, but they will be a fierce side in a few months time.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Definitely today, no amount of captain scarlet gifs or memes can express my delight right now
Finnaldo Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Definitely today, no amount of captain scarlet gifs or memes can express my delight right now There has to be at least ONE?!?!
StanSP Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Absolutely phenomenal game. Definitely the best game I've been to and the most euphoric I've felt when we've scored and gone in front.
urban.spaceman Posted 24 September 2014 Posted 24 September 2014 Each unforgettable games but Sunday was, without a doubt one of the most incredible things I've ever had the joy to witness. I know they're not as good as they used to be, but this Manchester bloody United who've just spent £150m for crying out loud! Beating them not only fairly but thrashing and totally humiliating them will have to go down as the best performance I can remember. That, and the fact that I was watching it in the pub with an acquaintance who's been very smug about being a Man U fan over the last 20 years. That'll stay with me forever. I think I've found my happy place!
Dan Posted 24 September 2014 Posted 24 September 2014 September 21st 2014, officially the day of the best league game I have ever seen. I feel for anyone who wasn't there.
