HankMarvin Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Now that we have lost would you consider giving Hamer a start against Burnley after his previous good performance that would normally warrant a second consecutive start. Thoughts?
Jakemoore Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Leave the forum now. Whilst you have your dignity. You're about to get ripped to shreds

johnny the fox Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Kasper the scapegoat now? ha ha.. its wellens and it will stay wellens until further notice.
deep blue Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Can't ignore the fact that he's kept our only clean sheet to date, and that after withstanding pressure from all their corners.
HankMarvin Posted 27 September 2014 Author Posted 27 September 2014 Not really, Kasper has conceded 5 goals in 2 games - Arguably the 1st goal from McArthur, whose shot was deflected over the crossbar which could've been caught. Hamer made a few good saves and kept a clean sheet and looked quite comfortable its not that absurd to consider a GK that kept a clean sheet and in normal circumstances would keep their place in the next game.
Deucalion Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 It might be harsh to drop Schmeichel right now but what is the point of having a backup keeper if not to possibly replace the man in the team? It's unhealthy to consider KS as a shoe-in regardless.
Unabomber Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Are you allowed to play 2 goalies if you sacrifice an outfield player? (serious question)

HankMarvin Posted 27 September 2014 Author Posted 27 September 2014 Why is considering a GK that kept a clean sheet away to stoke panicking, surely every ones place should be up for discussion depending on performance. So if your understudy kept a clean sheet and you have conceded 5 in 2 and had a average performance in your last game then its open to opinion Leicester City 1K. SchmeichelMade a superb save from a long-range Puncheon effort but could have done better with Campbell's goal. Well beaten by Jedinak's header, however http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/crystal-palace-vs-leicester-city/1703599/ratings
Jimothy Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Are you allowed to play 2 goalies if you sacrifice an outfield player? (serious question) Probably some stupid rule to prevent it.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Hamer in for Hammond Made me chuckle on a dark evening and a return from holidays.
steveherbe Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Worth considering. Hamer does dominate the box and take crosses. KS defintely doesnt, and we did concede from 2 headers....
Collo73 Posted 27 September 2014 Posted 27 September 2014 Why do u numpties think schmeichel I'd untouchable? I personally think its a decent shout from the guy that posted this. I dont believe it's a case of one loss and try someone new, its a case of he's a good keeper who deserves a chance. Wasn't the best performance today from the lads but we are doing alright. To conclude, hamer did very little wrong at stoke and why not give him another go?. No need for certain people on here to go all defensive xxx
