One Legged Beaver Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Mark Lawrenson's predictions: Hull 2-0 Palace Leicester 2-0 Burnley Liverpool 2-0 West Brom Sunderland 2-1 Stoke Swansea 1-1 Newcastle Villa 0-2 Man City Man United 2-0 Everton Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal Spurs 2-0 Saints West Ham 2-0 QPR Lawro loves his variety of scores http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29435443 Only about once a season does he ever predict a team to score more than 2 goals
Carl the Llama Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 Sigh! Will we ever lose this big spenders tag We have spent 4 or 5 million £ more on transfers, and we probably do pay more in wages too. But Sean' bought Jutkiewicz so any whining about money is null and void because anyone willing to part with their cash for that crock clearly has too much to throw around. In fact I believe Sean's sitting on a large transfer budget and he's only buying players for next season's Championship to save money for the costly larynxectomy he clearly needs.
ScouseFox Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 ulloa was 7 mill and Simpson about 1? 2 maybe? we're talking a few million more on fees at most, which is a mere drop in the ocean considering the money we BOTH got from being promoted. they want to put all their money into a little savings jar and hide it under the bed then go for it, we're investing ours into our squad so that in three or four years it'll have doubled, trebled or even more (hopefully). but we've all got to feel sorry for poor little penniless burnley

Webbo Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 This is a must win game for (obviously it isn't, but you know what I mean) 2-0 to the Leicester boys.
Carl the Llama Posted 2 October 2014 Posted 2 October 2014 If any game this year can be called must win, Burnley at home has got to be it. Claret has no logical cause for complaint.
zak_lcfc Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 I'm going for a tight game, maybe a 1-0 win. Read a lot of their starting midfielders are injured so reckon they'll come to play for a draw and hope to nick it, they'll be difficult to break down but Ulloa from a set piece
Monsell1976 Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 I can see this being a frustrating game for us, my guess would be burnley put the whole team behind the ball, and hope they get the odd chance off a set piece, going for either a boring 0-0, or 1-0 either way.
justfoxes Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 Changing my mind about the score going for a nice cheeky home fortress winning performance so predicting 3-0 Ulloa 2 vardy Taking my young lad to his first home game of the season so let's hope we can dish up a superb performance for him !
HitchinFox Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 I know a Burnley fan and they are really looking forward to this Saturday. They are hoping for three points and have pencilled the game in for being the one that kickstarts their season. According to my mate, the manager, the players, the fans are all up for it and see it as a "do or die game". They are going to give it their all. He says that for them a failure to get something against us will be a crushing blow on their confidence - "I know it's early in the season but if we lose at Leicester, it could possibly be such a blow that we won't recover". 6-0 Leicester.
lgfualol Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 Mark Lawro's prediction table has us in 18th, and Newcastle QPR in 11th and 12th respectively, even though he always says QPR look rubbish.
Happy Fox Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 3-0 Win Ulloa 16th minute Vardy 28th minute King 78 minute
Corky Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 Mark Lawro's prediction table has us in 18th, and Newcastle QPR in 11th and 12th respectively, even though he always says QPR look rubbish. He said something last season about how he predicted Hull's results and it meant they finished bottom three but he never actually thought they'd go down. Freesolo Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 Sigh! Will we ever lose this big spenders tag I know, how much did QPR Spend? we bought 1 striker for nothing in Premier League standards

car1os Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 As soon as I hear the words "they've not scored / haven't won a match in X number of games", and when every single pundit predicts a win for us, I worry we'll lose. I'll say 2-1 to Burnley, and hope I'm wrong!
GorlestonFox Posted 3 October 2014 Posted 3 October 2014 5-2 Ulloa x2 (1 pen), Nuge (pen) Cambiasso and Vardy

I don't know of any burnlwy fan who is thinking any such thing. We are hoping to just keep the score down tomorrow, get some players back and try and kick on after the break. Agree with the score 6-0 leicester. I'm frankly amazed so many are even giving us a goal.
