FA Cup 2014 / 2015

In the FA Cup. When we'd be going to Wembley.

Better and more rare/special than anything we did last season when we had 2 pitch invasions.

In that case it always looks silly. Another match you can lose, another relegation, they're all just around the corner.

Well no not when the competition is still ongoing with two rounds left. Staying up, title, cup final, possibly semi final is when you can do it and not look like bells imo

nah dont be stupid, pitch invasions are for season defining events (imo) (and historically?). winning a league, staying up on the last day kinda stuff.

winning a quarter final, where there's two more games til you actually get anything worth remembering, when you will probably get beaten next round and still have a massive chance of going down is shit. not sure why you're even arguing that.

The pitch invasion probably wasn't appropriate IMO but, as usual, no harm's been done. The reaction from the commentators is just the usual over-sensitivity you often get from those who look down on the riff-raff - it makes them uncomfortable when more passionate people break one of their regulations from time to time.

Yes to a pitch invasion if you win a semi final, you've actually got a shot at winning it and yes if you win the ****er. Yes if you win the league or avoid relegation, but pitch invading after winning a quarter final? If you lose in the semis you look like the biggest load of ***** ever. WHY?!?!?!?!?!?! Kitch it's embarrassing, end of.

I did hate it, but only cos I hate Villa. What they did is not that ridiculous or unusual (though I don't agree with them doing it before the final whistle)

BTW, up yours you smug ****.

Up mine?! How am I smug?

I hope Kitchandro receives a ban and a fine for his ott reaction to Unabomber.

i dont think the commentators were particularly arsed about the pitch invasion at full time, they never usually are. interrupting the game when there's still 2 or 3 minutes to go is out of order and they were quite rightly not best pleased with the bunch of cvnts who did that.

even lineker said at full time that he wanted to reiterate that post full time the "invasion" was more a "celebration" and there's not much up with that. when there's still a match going on why be a pri ck?

They probably wouldn't have invaded if the Semis weren't at Wembley. Another reason to bin that idea off.

Fair play to villa fans proper getting behind the team and looked to be an amazing atmosphere unlike down the King Power Morgue.

Here we go, oh pitch invasions are tin pot, commentators going OTT because fans go onto the pitch, lawrenson saying its like a return to the 80's.

Jesus wept talk about OTT reactions.

Women and children could've seen it, ron.

A quarter final against their rivals that sends them to Wembley. That's a pretty fvcking big deal, I know we would have done it if it was us beating Forest in the quarter final.

By yourself. Winning a title or a trophy, staying up? Yeah, damn sure that's pitch invasion material but winning a quarter final?

We all know pundits are melodramatic. They get arsey and cry when players wave imaginary cards and go down under minimal contact, remember. People running on the pitch is possibly the worst thing ever. The filthy public should sit down and be quiet.

Nice to see one pundit who isn't conforming the elitist attitude. Lineker's realised it's an act of celebration, not civil disorder.

This. You can tell they're a little bit disgusted by people who don't stay in their seat and behave in a calm manner like they do.

If this was in Europe Some posters would be w@nking off to it and saying its passionate European supporters.

If we'd beaten Forest in a quarter final in another wise shite season like this, there may be scenes like today.

I take you haven't seen some of their home games on telly or went to the league game with us earlier this season? Absolutely awful. They are one of the most fickle fanbases going. In the category of the Toon. Their crowd today was nearly double most this season and heavily supplemented by a big away following.

On 5Live, they mentioned seats being thrown from the top tier into the Villa fans and the corner where the two fans meet was full of scuffles.

It was a total idiot what said lets have it as a 5.30pm kick off.

Why do they split the away fans at Villa for big cup games? Putting away fans above home ones (and I'm sure fairly rowdy and provocative home fans) in a derby game on a Saturday evening is just barmy.

Not defending the people who threw seats, totally out of order and dangerous.

apparently mcmanananaman was targeted by Villa fans and Myhill slapped someone's phone out their hands as they tried to take a selfie lol
