do they not have stewards at villa park? or like a severe lack of obstacles stopping people getting on the pitch? in recent times there was tonight, obviously, but there's often away ends spilling onto the pitch etc that you hardly ever see anywhere else. lampard breaking his record for chelsea had tens of fans in a piley-on, lambert for liverpool this season had fans/players mixed up on the pitch.

are they just not arsed?

He also called the West Brom formation wrong and then spent about the first 2 minutes of the game trying to defend the fact that he looked like a tit when everybody could see that they weren't going to be playing Craig Dawson at wing back.

He said something else stupid as well which I've forgotten

Just remembered what the other stupid thing was:

"West Brom in their change strip..."

Phew, I can sleep easy now.

Imagine your own club captain saying "it was very, very scary. I had my armband ripped off, someone stole my left boot, people were kissing me and some bit me". Says it all really.

At the end of the day, it is dangerous, a lot of this country unfortunately have a massive ego obsession with Twitter and Facebook and feel the need to show all their friends that they managed to take a 'selfie' with a footballer.

I know it's pretty small-time but I can't be the only one who was envious surely? Passion's being sucked out of the game in this country. This was a rarity.

Did anyone get hurt? People were invading pitches before twitter/facebook/instagram

I think whats been said about it being OK after the match compared to during the match is correct (exception to Watford events).

Well the club captain claims people were biting him. Sounds like a real good time if you ask me. He was unlucky that he didn't sprint his bollocks off down the tunnel quick enough.

Its odd someone had a nibble at one of their own lads tbh. I dont think that should be accepted but these invasions rarely get nasty, there has to be some natural respect to not just run on to start lamping players and luckily that Isn't common. Its still a primal reaction and of course that scares people but I could imagine it to be a great rush and to some people thats priceless

Think the lino was shit scared tho - https://vine.co/v/OE5UA5lWDYH

Certain newspapers are claiming Callum McManaman was punched in the back of the head whilst making his way to the tunnel and Villa might be punished with stadium closure for a future game(s) as a result.

lol what are the commentators on about

'He knows this has ruined the whole day' lol Er, not really, Villa are going into the semi-finals. They'll get a small fine, that's it.

I mean I hate Villa fans but what they did is hardly 'like a scene from the 80s' Ooh a pitch invasion, that never happens. Look at all the violence. Or not.

Here we go, oh pitch invasions are tin pot, commentators going OTT because fans go onto the pitch, lawrenson saying its like a return to the 80's.

Jesus wept talk about OTT reactions.

why do pundits think pitch invasions could result in the next hillsborough, ****ing ******

We all know pundits are melodramatic. They get arsey and cry when players wave imaginary cards and go down under minimal contact, remember. People running on the pitch is possibly the worst thing ever. The filthy public should sit down and be quiet.

It makes me laugh because we're the pundits loving it, embracing it when Warrington beat Exeter and there was a pitch invasion in the early rounds? Or what about Blyth Spartans beating Hartlepool sparking a pitch invasion?

The pundits even presented from the pitch infront of the pitch invasions.

I know it's different 'minnows' beating bigger clubs and progessing in the tournament but a pitch invasion is a pitch invasion and they can't say it's wrong that Villa did it when they were celebrating it when the 'minnows' did it.

Match Of The Day.

There's no pitch invasion quite like an The FA Cup pitch invasion...

Ecsatic Warrington fans storm pitch.

Match Of The Day.

"Unsavoury, disgracful, toxic"

Football returns to the dark ages.

:crylaugh:

I suppose the difference is Warrington and Blyth Spartans were simply celebrating, Villa were 'goading' the WBA fans but as I said before a pitch invasion is a pitch invasion you can't embrace one then go overboard about another one.

I don't think it helped that there was a 'mini' pitch invasion before the whistle.

I think it'd have slightly less attention/bad publicity if they did it only after full-time. The idiots that did it before full-time have kind of tainted it.

Only one solution to this.

15 point deduction for both villa for pitch invasion and WBA for seat throwing and expel them both from the cup therefore re-instating us to play in the semi and probably staving off relegation as both teams would dip below us in the table.

we'd probably still end up bottom at the end of the season lol

There was some trouble last night but not by Villa fans, many fans who ran on just went on to congratulate the players while some idiots went on to just simply taunt the West Brom players and fans. Plus some west brom so called fans ripped out seats chucking them to fans below even before the final whistle went. As mentioned the ones that ran towards West Brom were not Villa fans. There was trouble outside the ground at Witton station some so called West Brom fans stayed by to chant anti villa fans which did provoke some fans.

Another thing to mention is, this is not the first time a punch of fans ran onto the pitch. I think some of the reaction from the press is over the top fair enough write in the papers but really front page scoop, there just trying to overshadow this over the recent so called chelsea fans that were singing racist chants in france.

Have to say though I hope they find the mob that tried to taunt West Brom fans and ban them from all football grounds for good, same for the mob that chucked seats down from the away.

It was also madness kicking off at 5.30pm on a saturday for a big local derby.

We get it you Villa 'tard.

None of it was Villas fault, it was all West Brom and people pretending to be Vile fans.

Why don't you do a poll to see who started it?
