Bike LED lights, that are so bright it's probably easier to stare at the sun... with the added bonus of them also flashing so much it's like being in a bloody night club.

Yeah I can see you... but I can't when I get near as I need to close my bloody eyes you bellends .

Agreed! I don't think flashing lights are legal actually.

Bikes that do not have lights. As a pedestrian I am able to see or hear vehicles but cyclists with no lights and wearing dark clothing coming from nowhere are much harder to see. At least wear fluorescent jacket.

if you're a pedestrian what light are you emitting for the jacket to be seen? lol

Just wondering what cyclists views are on cycling on dual carriageways?

Would you do it?

Depends on the dual carriageway. Some I have used have been fine, others have been a terrible experience, e.g. cycling on the A3 into London trying to avoid potholes while cars fly past at 60mph is not recommended.  If its a quiet road with good visibility and a decent surface then I would have no problem riding on a dual carriageway.

Fair point but wearing all black and having no lights does it harder for them to be seen and less safe on the road.

Old drivers, young drivers, slow / cautious drivers, drivers on their phone, eating, changing the radio, fiddling with their sat nav, drivers shouting at the kids.  Speeding drivers, drivers without insurance, drivers in crappy cars that break down in dangerous places, foreign lorry drivers, driver who pull in front of lorry drivers, drivers who don't understand that different lanes go to different places and then cut in without signalling or thanks.  Drivers who cannot park, drivers who seem to have lost their indicators, drivers who deliberately stay in the outside lane when the inside lane is clear, drivers who think the fog lights have to come on if it is raining or slightly misty even though you can see about a mile ahead easily, drivers who don't get out of my way even though I am driving my lovely big 4X4 the proles, drivers who think it is their job to slow down people who want to go slightly faster than them, drivers who are too scared to overtake a tractor even though they have loads of room and stop you from progressing, drivers who tow caravans or trailers with cars that are clearly not heavy enough or powerful enough to do it safely, drivers who piss me off for any other reason.

Anything else?! That's not saying I don't agree with most of them lol

Bloke called Pavel went into the back of me on the A610 in Nottingham. Could barely tell me his name never mind insurance details (which I doubt he had) so taking a look at his jeremykyle-eske appearance and my chipped rear bumper I thought that I couldn't be arsed and I drove off. It's my first car so I know at some point I'll do worse to it.

It didn't occur to the two total divs on bikes riding alongside each other on the pavement towards me this morning that it would be a good idea to go single file when we were going to pass, given the width of the pavement, but one instead veered into the other.

You can sort of see why they're not confident enough to ride on the road

People that overtake me on the motorway but actually never actually seem to pass in the next lane but more with two wheels in the lane that I'm using. Happens a lot and it's scary.

Caravans, slow-moving causing delays at peak times.

impatient drivers queued up behind my beautifull caravan, tapping their fingers on their stearingwheel,

Especially needing it at peak times just in case I get into a 3-4hr jam and can sleep in it..:)

Especially in their 4wd's?  :)

People (mainly students) crossing the road as the lights are changing to green. I'm not talking about 1 or 2, literally a line of a dozen or so of these cvnts. Had half a mind to just go and let them deal with the consequences

You never done that walking back from the ground after a game?

Impatient drivers who cannot wait until a pedestrian has crossed the road when it is pouring with rain. You are nice and dry mate. That poor person crossing may be elderly or have trouble walking at a fast past. Consider others and drive safely. You will not get there any faster. :)

At last I can write something in this thread.

Got rear ended yesterday, filling out the paperwork irked me - nearly missed the last boat home.

On Tuesday night, I left the King Power a couple of minutes before the end with my son and nephew in tow. We walked up along Burnmoor Street towards the hospital and as we got to the corner close to where the old Filbert Street kop used to be, there was a steward with the road blocked off with cones (as is standard after matches to let the crowd disperse safely).

A car (not sure what it was - a black BMW or Audi type vehicle) pulled up sharply at the roadblock and the driver (a scouser) remonstrated with the steward in an aggressive and confrontational fashion. She explained politely that the road was closed for 20 minutes and they would have to wait. The driver claimed they "had a disabled person in the car" (as if that made any difference), at which point, a passenger got out, removed the cones and threw one across the road before getting back in. The car the sped off down Burnmoor Street whilst the driver shouted further abuse out of his window.

What a complete and utter bellend. Ignorant, impatient, rude and reckless.

If I'd not been with the kids I would have said something but didn't want to get into a row in front of them.

Mindless littering.

Today out past Barnsley a whole family bag of fast food waste was thrown out of the van in front of me. It caught in the slip stream and the wind ripped the bag and half the menu of uneaten food and drink hit my car.
