some **** was driving right up my arse with bright blue lights for ages, making a right racket as well

Drivers that pull out in front of you then drive slowly...Geez, I hate them!

So do I, especially when I'm on blue lights...

I know everyone likes a good moan about cyclists and the supposed proliferation of cycle lanes, but something I find unfathomable are the numbers of people that just cheerily walk along the middle of them.  It's a different colour to the pavement, and there's a big stencil on the ground of a bike, so it's not like they can pretend not to have noticed, and when a bike zooms past within inches of them they generally just seem to carry on on their merry way.

I assume this isn't an offence, but it's hardly an encouragement to cyclists to actually use the facilities put in for them, is it?

Not really on the roads, but it's pretty annoying when a shop or something has flashing blue lights. There's a computer shop just past Frog island that gets me looking for an emergency vehicle every time until I realise it's the sign for the shop.

Know exactly which one you mean. Ridiculous. It's so unnecessary as well.

Ha, I drove past it half an hour ago. I know exactly what you mean.

People who go along a 60mph road at 40, and occasionally accelerate up to 45 then drop back to 40 - that's not even just confusing the national speed limit for 50 on single carriage ways ffs.

Weather getting better so ....     the cyclists are back !!!      Like a bleedin rash over the county roads !!!

(Must dig my lycra shorts out ).

Drivers who don't know what speed this means.

This means do 40 every fecking where even through the 30s doesn't it? You'd think so on my route to work (that has no passing places) every fecking morning. What I don't get is if it's not safe to do more than 40 in a national, why is it safe to 40 In a 30? Rahhhh

To be fair, doing 60 mph on some country roads is bloody stupid. Yet some people feel that is a bare minimum they have to do.

Time take those winter tyres off your Volvo Deej.

Admittedly some roads require a slower speed. But if it's wide enough for two cars all the way along and is classed as a main road from town to town. There is no need to dawdle along doing 40. It's more the fact they don't slow down for the 30s that gets me. It's not even an economical speed to be doing. Especially when there are hills around. I have to go down gears to get up them at 40. At 50 I would need 4th gear at worse. Which is far more economical.

I've had people who don't understand roundabouts in this thread many times before, i'm gonna go one step further.

Nowadays for some reason (Probably because they've realised so many people are so thick they can't understand how roundabouts work) it seems it quite common to put traffic lights on even the smallest of roundabouts.

It's bad enough people can understand the simple idea of a roundabout but no, there are people out there thick enough they wait for the green light at a roundabout, pass the green light and then stop almost suddenly after as if they are giving way to the right.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!!!!!! Is it that hard to understand? You idiot people of the world!!!! It can't get much more simple.

This has happened a few times in the past but it's happened twice in two days which is the main cause of this post.

Should still look right to make sure no cars are coming through the red light because they're not paying attention and think it's a normal roundabout

You can do that without stopping dead.

Add to the fact you're only just pulling off so not doing a great deal of speed and could stop to a halt if needed.

But these cunts stop to a halt when no-ones coming anyway.

Roundabouts were designed so that no one actually has to stop.

If you stop it's because drivers are going too fast around it or the driver in front will not flow into traffic.

It should be about giving other junction users courtesy. But in this world it's about me, me, and I'll signal off if I can be arsed.

Unfortunately so many roundabouts just appear out of nothing because it's cheaper than placing traffic lights on busier roads.

Most of the mini ones are pointless.

Roundabouts are the hunting grounds for crash for cash scammers ...     see my post on the car thread ....      Beware !

And like you said Boosy people shouldn't need to stop ...        unless you're a scammer ...        (or a woman ....     ).
