Itsthejoeker Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Pearson of old would not have let this signing go through. He wants players who really show a desire to play for the club. you're joking surely...
Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Pearson of old would not have let this signing go through. He wants players who really show a desire to play for the club. I think he realizes that we aren't one of the biggest clubs in the league though like we were when operating in the Championship. He alluded to this in the summer when he said he would go for players who were different if the right player comes along. We can't pretend that players should want to play for us.
Mark Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Can anyone confirm if he can play the number 10 role? Delighted were getting him but can't understand spending £18 million on new forwards if we're sticking with Nugent or Maloney playing the support role May as well go all out and get a decent attacking mid in. And please sort the defence out.

Father Ted Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Every single one of his goals seems to be from him latching on to the end of low crosses.
Finnaldo Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Imagine if Tripe pops up with the rustling gorilla. I'd cry.
Babylon Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Every single one of his goals seems to be from him latching on to the end of low crosses. How bad was most of the defending in that video though... it made Wes Morgan look like Bobby Moore.

Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Every single one of his goals seems to be from him latching on to the end of low crosses. Brilliant because all of our wingers bar Albrighton can barely get the ball airborne from crosses.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 How bad was most of the defending in that video though... it made Wes Morgan look like Bobby Moore. Defending won't tend to look all that on a video compilation of goals, mate!
RobHawk Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Has he signed yet? I've refreshed the page a few hundred times already today and i do have some work to do!
Jace Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Wow this is great news, exactly the type of player we should be looking for. Deal agreed subject to medical
Babylon Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Defending won't tend to look all that on a video compilation of goals, mate! No, but you can see videos where they don't do much wrong and it's just good play by the attackers. A lot of those goals were shockingly bad defending that a good defender / keeper that would have stopped. There were a lot of good finishes as well, he can clearly put it in the net.
Hitesh Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 This stinks of his agent/reps putting out news stories to entice Chelsea into a higher offer / package for the player. Wouldn't hold your hopes up for a permanent deal. Either that or we're messing around with this just to lure in Defoe and/or other players, knowing full well that we wont get Kramaric... The fun and games of the Jan Transfer Window has well and truly begun, and Jim White has already started ironing his yellow tie!
