Jon Moss

I don't think Jon Moss is a bad ref. Probably just needs some more practice. Something like the next 5 Spurs' matches.

You can watch his next installment tonight....he's reffing Arsenal vs WBA.....obviously I'm hoping he sends two Arsenal players off and gives WBA three penalties and that Berahino doesn't take them.....! Just a little gallows humour...I'm with you, he had a very poor game against West Ham.

He's a fvcking Mosser.

Knows he's out of his depth with all the scrutiny on him, small member I assume too, and trying to compensate by proving 'he can make the big decisions'. What an arrogant piece of sh*t.

I'll take great pleasure in seeing him being dropped to the lower leagues.

Remember this but didn't realise it was M*ss. How on earth is this guy not only still in a job, but has actually been promoted? The FA is dodgy as hell.

He's made his mind up to book him whilst he's fishing the ball out the net, you see him walking away and than turn and run towards goal before the ball is thrown.

Such a poor excuse for a referee, found he's been questioned several times about his performances but still nothing.

This is the same ref that Jose Mourinho called "Fvcking weak!" lol.

Thats why I laugh when I see comments saying refs should be respected. No they need to earn respect, just because you wear a kit dosn't mean players need to bow down to your every decision. It happened earlier in the West Ham game against Watford when a foul occured and a Watford player asked what for and the ref just pointed away and wouldn't answer him. I understand that players can be rude at times but maybe if they quickly explained why rather then just ignoring protests then the players might start to understand the decisions made and drop the complaints as soon as they have the answer.

Nobody asks players to bow down.  Trying to "quickly explain" to players is something of a thankless task.  The player doesn't believe he has done anything wrong.  It really doesn't matter what, as a ref, you say.  When you have had a player whinge and moan all game about every decision you've made, not just those that are a matter of opinion but also those that are a matter of law, you do get to a stage where you ignore them.

I still believe refs should be treated with respect. But that also means you should have a way to voice concerns or disagreements to a higher authority. Limiting appeals to straight reds, and discouraging appeals by loading them with a double ban if the appeal fails is just ludicrous.

You've never been on the "wrong end" of an appeal then.  My experience is sunday mornings but the issues are the same.  I had 2 players clash in the penalty area, then went down fighting, came up fighting and traded punches toe to toe.  Result 2 reds.  One appealed, took his mate who said that he didn't lay a finger on the other player. 2 to 1.  That was 3 hours of my life I cant have back.

Your last comment isn't true... You have right to appeal for every decision, however if the panel feel your appeal is spurious they may extend the ban for wasting time with an appeal.

And on the Kasper second yellow in the Forest game (not your comment I know)... He was silly to put himself in a position where the referee has to make a decision.

I was thinking about this the other day, certain referees (aka shit ones) must have to high security around their houses, some, in Jon Moss's case, must have bodyguards? Surely?

You can't be that shite, that inept and not worry about security/your life?

There's nutters out there who can't be trusted.

I, like you, would say i'm not a violent man (I get wound up easy but never been violent) but if I saw him in the street (Especially in the last week) I think i'd lose my shit with him.

Alan Smith (the pundit) thought Jon Moss had an excellent game on Sunday.

He said he heard what journalists had said after when he went up to the studio and thought "was I watching a different game"

I think the answer to that is yes Alan you must have been watching a different game as 99% of people that he had an awful game.

yeah Alan Smith thought there was an overreaction afterwards about his performance and claimed Moss got every decision right lol

Thing is, he didn't really put himself in the position beyond being selected for that game. Nothing he did in that post penalty bit was anything that gives the referee a decision to make. He concedes, picks the ball up and chucks it back to the half way line. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary to practically every goal conceded by any team.

Giroud told him to fvck off, I'm expecting a ban.

I'm watching this to see what the little fat **** lets players off with, I hope any holding in the box equals a penalty, any diving a yellow, any swearing at officials reported to the league, we will see if he was bias, as the twat hates Leicester, as seen at forest

Maybe I've misunderstood that rule from the way it's been explained on here. I thought there was no chance of us appealing the sending off and initial ban coz it was 2 yellows, not a straight red? That one is done and dusted and we are only appealing the later charge of foul language etc etc?

I got the impression that if you appeal a ban then it's essentially "double or nothing"?  I agree taht there should be added disciplinary action if a club is doing it to blatantly waste time. But that couldn't really be the case with Vardy as he'll already be out for a week for the 2 yellows - so I guess I don't understand why the media keeps talking about the ban being extended if the appeal fails. Surely ours would be a low risk of looking like time wasting?

So if Vardy appealed against the improper conduct charge... But there's video evidence that shows him calling the referee an F'ing C - well under the terms of improper conduct so he'd have no case, so the panel could view that the appeal was unwarranted and factor that into the sanction.

What he's done is accept the charge (because his actions were improper), but will argue circumstances in an effort to temper any sanction the panel may apply. They will also factor in the admission of guilt as a positive.

The double yellow thing is not something you can appeal against... Unless it was a case of mistaken identity, think you can appeal that. A referee may also reflect on a decision and rescind the card himself I believe.

That makes sense. Essentially you plead guilty and if they think you're contrite enough they'll let you off on a lighter sentence. So there's still the possibility (though a very slim one) that they slap him with a fine and anger management courses and nothing more? Is the one match ban automatic for improper conduct?
