LCFC Rennie Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 A West Ham fan who just went on BBC Radio 5 Live: ''Leicester don't deserve to be where they are, their fans were amazing.'' West Ham fan on Twitter: ''Not lying Leicester genuinely did have the best away support of the season, never stopped singing the deserve better.'' Although a disappointing result today, nice to see our fans are being noticed. Not just our poor performances on the pitch getting noticed. Sometimes I think we are too harsh on ourselves with our support.
Matt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We're too good for the players. Not their fault, they're trying but simply trying isn't enough, they're just not good enough but we're to good for them.
Dan Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 I find that weird because it was absolutely flat as **** for the majority. Their fans were even worse though. Bloody hell. 4th in the league, sold out in a ground like that, winning, and barely a peep. English grounds are hitting the point of being eerie for their quietness.
Matt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 It was good down the end where I was. It's a new low when you're taking the piss out of yourself/own team though, but at the end of the day if we didn't I think I might cry.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Some of the chants were a bit cringe in a gallows humour kind of way, but I still loved it. Thought we were good and got behind the lads. Particularly enjoyed NP acknowledging our support of him early doors.
StanSP Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Was dead quiet on the stream. I'm willing to believe our away support was good because it has previous for making a decent amount of noise but their fans were unbelievably hushed. Biggest noise was pre-match for the forever blowing bubbles song.
BrummieFOX Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 I've heard more of the same this evening. Had a lot of Hammers' fans say we were noisy. Sounded poor where I was but maybe we made a racket.
Foxes1 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 I've heard more of the same this evening. Had a lot of Hammers' fans say we were noisy. Sounded poor where I was but maybe we made a racket. You mean you couldn't hear us in Birmingham we must have been quiet :xmaslaugh:
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Thought it was decent up the back where a few of us were, but a one point a group of guys asked Soup Nazi to start off "Come on Leicester boys", he's not a bloody duke box start it yourself! We were good in spells but it really died down when they got their second.
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Nothing exceptional but decent at times. I think we're too hard on ourselves. Possibly because it sounds less impressive when you're 'in' the noise.

Possibly because it sounds less impressive when you're 'in' the noise. I don't agree it sounds worse, you can often sense when a lot join in. I thought QPR and Southampton were better than today.
sylofox Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Hmmmmm so a thread says we are the 17th best away side and a hammer saying we were the best. The report was bollox as we had probably only played 3 or 4 away games and wham will have better (none derby games) But means we are praps 6th to 8th. Happy to take any credit we get atm as points are few and far between.
Bert Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Whichever one of you "lads" lit the smoke bomb next time have the bollocks to stand there and hold it if you're big enough to light it.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Whichever one of you "lads" lit the smoke bomb next time have the bollocks to stand there and hold it if you're big enough to light it. Even the most ardent ultra in Belgrade wouldn't hold a smoke bomb.
Larry_LCFC Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 The West Ham fans are lying. We are 17th loudest. The survey cant be wrong.
Corky Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We've had 8 defeats in 9 away games and have scored four goals. Our support in the circumstances has been excellent. No turning on the manager in great numbers, or the team really.
promised land Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Whichever one of you "lads" lit the smoke bomb next time have the bollocks to stand there and hold it if you're big enough to light it. Like the muppet who threw one onto the pitch at Selhurst Park? Maybe just maybe it was the same one. I wouldn't say that was our best day out but I did think what they're going to be like in the Olympic stadium, very open compared to the Boleyn ground. Their singing section then will have to up it a few notches.
Bert Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Even the most ardent ultra in Belgrade wouldn't hold a smoke bomb.Don't care. Don't light it and then chuck towards other people.
theessexfox Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Was good until they scored, pretty flat after that and fairly poisonous too I felt. Concourse was pretty lively, was my first away of the season so I don't know if that is standard.
ramadaone Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Whichever one of you "lads" lit the smoke bomb next time have the bollocks to stand there and hold it if you're big enough to light it. A 16 year old gimp from Wreake Valley - just round the corner from you ...
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Don't care. Don't light it and then chuck towards other people. Yes, that's silly. I wasn't there so I won't know what went on.
Guest ttfn Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We've had 8 defeats in 9 away games and have scored four goals. Our support in the circumstances has been excellent. No turning on the manager in great numbers, or the team really. It's been brilliant. Every now and then we get the same old comments about the fans not being good enough etc. and so on. On average I think we're no better or worse than any other set of fans in this division or most of the country for that matter. At the moment though the support for the team and the manager is absolutely astounding. 2 points in 36 is also 1 point in 30! It's not normal for fans to stick with teams for that length of time and with the vociferousness of support. Thought the atmosphere was pretty decent today as usual.
Monsell1976 Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Heard the atmosphere was awful? It was, I was unlucky enough to stand at the front, next to nobody sang around me, and the noise traveling down from above me, didn't seem loud at all, just pockets, but west hams fans were terrible.
