Sir Fynwy Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Been doing dry January for years but not for charity, don't think I'll bother this year. Last year dry January started at 8pm on the 31st December, I generally stop drinking early on New Years Eve because I'm driving to the football next day.
stez Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I've been doing dry January every month for 3 years. Except for a bailey's at Christmas.
AoWW Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I've been doing dry January every month for 3 years. Except for a bailey's at Christmas. You're back! Baileys?!
Cruss5 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Not drank in January for the last 7 or 8 years. For a personal reason but not for charity. Helps get back into shape as Jan is always good month to motivate
Rincewind Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I have 14 bottles to get through first. Keep forgetting to tell relatives not to buy me them for Xmas.
The People's Hero Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I'll be drinking every day in January. I find its easier, in all respects.
Matt Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I was gonna try and cut down, give it abit of go. Got asked if I fancied going for a beer this afternoon so that was the end of that! Willpower, Lacking!
Jon the Hat Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I had a dry January from about 1am to 4pm yesterday. Who wants to sponsor me?
Charl91 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I normally go months at a time without a drink. Now, if I had to have a chocolate free month, or a bacon free month, that would be slightly different....
The Blue Moon Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Complete waste of time. Why put your social life on hold for a month, just donate to charity anyway.
DB11 Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Complete waste of time. Why put your social life on hold for a month, just donate to charity anyway. Why does a social life have to include alcohol?
Unabomber Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Complete waste of time. Why put your social life on hold for a month, just donate to charity anyway. Exactly. Drinking alcohol is fun and doesn't harm anybody.
Walker Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Girl I was supposed to be going for drinks with bailed tonight, so an extremely mild consolation is that I'm still going with this. No chance of doing it but so far so good.
ScouseFox Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Why does a social life have to include alcohol? this a joke or?
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 to be honest. I'd do it. but we have 3 home games inc today and a trip to old trafford. and there's no way I'm watching us without a pint or 6 inside me.
stez Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Why does a social life have to include alcohol? It doesn't.
Webbo Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 They'll be a masturbation-free March next. I'd have gonads like coconuts.
MrSpaM Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Been off the crack for 31 years and counting! Feel well healthy!
Smudge Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I've been doing dry January every month for 3 years. Except for a bailey's at Christmas. Reminded me of this
Guest seanfox778 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I normally go months at a time without a drink. stez Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Reminded me of this As I get older I assumed I was becoming more like jim royle. But maybe I've bypassed him and become nana. 'even though I'm taking the cataract out of your eye, I'll leave the twinkle in'
Strokes Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I'm getting wasted, dry January can go fùck itself.
