johnny the fox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 With two wingers off in the new year, why not bring Lloyd back? he knows all the players and how we operate, wouldn't need to settle in and wouldn't let us down.
Jimmy Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 because he can't get into a championship side and HE TURNED DOWN A NEW CONTRACT WITH US
kingfox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Wasn't even in the Watford 18 yesterday. Shows how much they rate him.
VLC86 Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Wasn't even in the Watford 18 yesterday. Shows how much they rate him. So you are basing this on 4 months with them rather than 4/5 years with us? Incidentally I wouldn't have him back, it sends the wrong message to the team and any imminent signings.

Incidentally I wouldn't have him back, it sends the wrong message to the team and any imminent signings. you mean the pattern in those 4 years where he disappeared from September to about March? by the end of last season he was a sub here, he knew he wasn't good enough and walked otherwise he would have backed his ability to earn an extension
MPH Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Wasn't even in the Watford 18 yesterday. Shows how much they rate him. Or he could be on his way... People about to move on are often left out of games so as not to damage the deal
Mike Oxlong Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 Yes. Let's pair him with Ryan McGovern so we can get relegated asap.

But can we get them? Its at the stage right now where it isnt about us taking a chance on good players but good players taking a chance on us...

Harry - LCFC Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I don't get how he's not playing for Watford. Seems unlikely that he's lost that much ability in a year, especially since he started well for them.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I agrfee with that first part.... But can we get them? Its at the stage right now where it isnt about us taking a chance on good players but good players taking a chance on us... As you can see yourself there's wingers out there who are not having much game time, Joel Campbell, Scott Sinclair, Matt Jarvis it'd be quite bizarre if Pearson doesn't show any interest in at least one of those three. Or he can tout abroad like he did with Mahrez, and get Walsh to visit Molde for Mohamed Elyounoussi
Webbo Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 There have been more threads about Lloyd dyer since he left than there was when he was here. Why can't people accept he's left and get over it?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 I'd have him back tomorrow. His goal at Bolton (Stringer's commentary) is still my mobile ringtone and it would mean I don't ever have to change it - on a serious note, yes, I'd have him back. Legend. Pretty sure we'd have something from the Spurs game with him on the left.
Buzzell Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 On a serious note though definitely not. He's done his time here. Please people move on.
Bayfox Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 No. Why are people even asking this? alright Geoff chill. but you are right. he chose to leave. yes he has pace, but that's all. if he wants to come back on loan for no wages then maybe.
Babylon Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 We have a winger winning rave reviews in the championship. We'll bring him back not Dyer!
Corky Posted 29 December 2014 Posted 29 December 2014 He could've stayed, he chose not to. We've moved on, he has as well. Pining for former players who aren't even showing us what we're missing is a bit desperate.
