Probably because they had paid him off for the win, not a draw.

"he gave us a slightly debatable pen early on then realised it was a tad harsh, so have us nothing for the rest of the game the twat"

lol

I'm on a bus with seemingly half the kop (except it's noisier) and they're actually complaining about the ref. I'm utterly bemused.

I went on the Liverpool forum just for a quick browse, and one of the first posts is complaining about the ref's performance in the second half.

You couldn't make it up.

You'd think he was almost trying to make up for something. Hmmm, have no idea what though.

Liverpool are slowly getting 'up there' with Arsenal as for my hated teams.

Fans are idiots, the players cheat and dive, Sterling's an arsehole and hugely overrated, they think their bigger than they actually are, and I know this one has been a big one for many years it's never really bothered me till recently - There feeling over everything being an injustice towards the club.

I used to quite like Liverpool aswell, and their famous now non-existant atmosphere. (Unless its was just hyped up and has always been shit apart from the odd occasions)

Just read this on a Scouse forum:

First time in 80 games we have been 2 or more up at half time at home in the PL and not won...

Just watched the whole game in Benidorm.

We wuz robbed! Two dodgy penalty handballs cost us the win.

Mahrez and Schlupp both exceptional. God knows we'll miss those pair to the ACON.

We were much the better side IMO. Nugent's goal was sublime.

Very very happy with the performance today. You'll see later though on MOTD (those without a stream).if we were just a little more composed with some of our finishing, we'd have been three up before Liverpool were awarded their first penalty!

So pre match what were people saying about the team selection? looks like NP got it spot on and ref apart 3 points should have been ours. Clearly the team and squad are fully behind the management and any potential signing watching that would have to be impressed, lets see what happens over the coming days.

Team selection WAS spot on. For those who haven't seen the game, we controlled the first half. The two nil score line paints no reflection on the game at all. The midfield bossed it. Mahrez made chances, Schlupp was everywhere. We literally could have gone three nil up.

Great shape to the side today iMO.

Pretend you're a Liverpool fan and argue with them.

Great support today by the City faithful, very disappointed by the Liverpool fans.

Back 4 looked good, De Laet shoul keep his place instead of Konch.

Schlupp had one of his best games.

We really deserved a win today, massive games coming up.

Great performance today and they really seem to be improving. Mahrez is obviously a game changer but his free kicks (other than the first) and his corners weren't quite up to what he's probably capable of. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Lawrence get a go during January.

Villa and Stoke at home are looking like cup finals!

Hopefully we will now realise that 2 up front away from home is finished.

And against top sides at home , should be the same.

because we have lost against teams around us, we have to beat them at home . Can't afford to draw against them.

A big point for us as it allows us to put back to back unbeaten games together for the first time since September. Another solid performance and scored two on the road. At least only Hull out of the bottom teams won their match so its basically as your were at the bottom. Any points are good points for us now and I'm sure most would have taken a point at Anfield at 3.00pm today. So I guess the only complaints can be about the diabolical, shambolic refereeing decisions today.
